I preferred the legend of mixx as opposed to the actual mix. When he lost the second x he lost his aura. Great player but not a legend. Fantastic hair.

yeah, I have generally found the more X's there are the more interesting something is

Love it!

Rain, you go with your bad self...

I actually think it's an interesting topic. RB needs more from Sacha...he probably has more freedom and greater expectations on him to make something happen. Given the talent level NY has and Kreis' system approach, Mix might not have the same responsibility level, or need to carry the team. Once Lampard slots in up field that takes more of the ball away from Mix. I could see Mix having a deep distribution role...and Sacha having more involvement up field.

It just depends how you want to define the debate.

Individual stats or respective importance to the success of their teams.

I think it will be very close...I wouldn't bet against Sacha.

No way i don't think it beats the Bradley/Jones thread remember that one ? i think is like 300+ pages long or something.

Ah, maybe you're right. Funny how that comparison eventually ended in a way that I don't think anyone on this thread predicted.

This is a GREAT idea. Let's keep the hundreds of Rain posts on Sacha vs. Mix (or Jones or whoever else he sees as Sacha's competition) in one thread. I guarantee he won't miss a weekly update. But I will be pissed if I see the same posts in other threads.

I will weigh in on this one. I'm pissed at Diskerud for coming to the MLS for the paycheck rather than going to the Eredevisie. But I still give him a slight edge over SK at CM, although I'd prefer Torres to both. Mix is definitely better as a #10, as that's more his natural position. But the thing is that by 2018, Zelalem will be ready and will be above all of them on the depth chart. None of those three will start in Russia.

For me, too, there are about three posters on here (I think they're the same three for all of us) that kill my will to visit these forums (in part why I come here so sporadically), and I even thought about starting a thread along the lines of "who is the worst poster here." But I decided not to because two of them are really young and we don't want to hurt their feelings.

But actually, right now, all of you are my villains. I spent over an hour writing my post on the 'Collective Bargaining Agreement' thread and even bolded the sparknotes version and no one read it. It should have taken under a minute to read the bold parts and under five to read the whole thing...has the internet completely killed our ability to read? Is the Sacha/Mix debate that much more interesting?

what is really interesting is that while most people think that mix's biggest strength lies in his ability to produce game changing moments in the final third both JK and JK II (kries) currently have diskerud playing in a deep-lying role

my big knock on mix is that he is not a strong enough 2-way player to help dictate the flow of the game and help his team boss the midfield. his first game for NYC was very consistent with his games with MNT - the other team really had the better of the play, more possession and more shots/ shots on target... but mix came up with a moment of brilliance

id rather have guy in that 8 spot who is more influential for 90 mins

ironically marsch has pegged stache16 as a CAM/10 to begin the season. most people feel sacha is more suited to an 8 and feel that marsch ought to swap kljestan with felipe...

looking forward to tomorrows NYC/NE tilt

My #2 is more buffoon than villain, if you know who I mean. That's why he's my #2, not #1.

My #1 is an infrequent poster with a gift for trolling.

I'm lost on all of this villain-speak, but I think Sacha will do fine enough in the MLS but Klinnsman won't call him in, and we'll beat this thread to death about it because Rain will rightfully be upset and the rest of us will keep telling him why Mix is good enough for us, even though he will never agree. I see this just being depressing, but cheers to the effort, boys. And dolecm I don't know what it is man. I'm usually here for the medium length posts that are concise and efficient. You cover your bases, but I only shit for 10 or 15 minutes max, and I'm trying to get my fill of info. Gotta cut the fat and get to the juicy stuff man!

Yeahhhh Mix could have easily had 3 assists today. Wasn't really playing as a deep lying play maker, either. Certainly wouldn't write of SK, though.
