According to this article, CCV might be slated to get some playing time with the 1st team in the Europa tournament and other cup competitions. That would be pretty huge since he is only 17 years old.

Man would that be awesome. I think some of that is summer hype, the author even suggests its easy to say youl play youngsters, its different to do it. But still knowing that CCV is recognized as one of his up and comers is a good thing

Pochettino is known for playing young players. Wouldn't surprise me if he saw gametime this year.

Most good managers see the benefit in playing younger players. Mostly because they are a cheap option. Unless you have a limitless budget (Man U, Barca, Real, PSG) you are usually better off with 6-7 high priced studs, 2-3 decent veterans, and 2-3 youngsters. Usually the drop off in skill from the 31 year old non-star to the 19 year old youngster isn't enough to really effect things. So by having those cheap contracts you can bring in an extra world class player. Kane is the perfect example. You also get the benefit of spinning the youngster for a profit in 2-3 years if they pan out. You turn a 500k investment into 30+mil in 2 years. 28-30 year olds dont have that investment potential

lets all chill, the dude is barely 17 yrs old... wait until he actually shows up on the bench or beginning line up and until then how about we let him be and continue to grow as a player.

No way we have to overhype every player we can, and then tear them down when those players don't meet the fans expectations. You should know this is the way.

No, but this could potentially be a GMs view. Any Manager wants as much player budget as possible.

Haha. You know what I'm talking about. Homegrown guys almost never break through at man city, barca, Chelsea, etc because they bring. In 11 world class, almost world class players. The rest of teams, west ham, Southampton, Newcastle, etc need the young guys to come in.

I don't want CCV moving up the ranks too fast too soon. He isn't cap tied yet and I don't want England to come calling. The less fanfare the better as far as I'm concerned, until he's in the fold.

CCV Captained Tottenhams U21 side today in a4-1 win against Antonee Robinson and Evertons U21's.

It looked like he played DM. Don't know for certain. There was talk about Tottenham moving him to DM last year. They think ultimately that will be his best position going forward.
