Barely just turned 18, and already shutting down a world renowned striker in Falcao, will certainly have a lot of people sitting up and taking notice. Arsenal has already tried to pry him away from Tottenham.

Looks like he can play the holding midfield role as well as he apparently played their in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup

I doubt we lose him. Does England really offer that much more than the USMNT does these days? Not really.

Meh. I don't think there is much England can provide in way of international soccer. He is already entrenched in the Spurs system it doesn't matter if he plays for England or the USA.

When was the last time England won an international tournament? 1966. England has never won the Euros.

You can smirk at the Gold Cup all you want, but in 2011 it out drew attendance and had a higher TV viewership than the Copa America did in 2011.

I think they may mean the $$$$, excuse me ££££ that CCV would make as an England international. Carries weight over there just like it does here. Why Mix signing for NYCFC is bigger than Sacha signing for NYRB. Because mix is a USA international "star" and Sacha isn't- providing more marketability, etc

Soccer wise- I agree for the most part. I think competition wise he will face less to maintain an international spot with USA than England, as they have a much deeper pool at the moment.

Way to rattle Rain's cage Ham...you'll be cursed to an ongoing broadside of MLS Sacha v Mix stats.

Even if he plays for USA at the international level he maintains his English passport and is still considered english as far as BPL is concerned.

Its the same reason guys like Arriola, Gomez, etc get/maintain the Mexican passport. Even though they are US internationals for League MX they are Mexicans

According to this article, CCV might be slated to get some playing time with the 1st team in the Europa tournament and other cup competitions. That would be pretty huge since he is only 17 years old.
