Stoke's battling relegation to League One, they benched an on loan player who could help them for a month?
Yep. Sure did. And they have no vested interest in playing him when a team is interested in buying him.

CCV heading to Luton Town last in the championship. It seems he needs to develop more. He's young but ...

Barely 22 and this is his fifth different Championship loan. That feels like some kind of record.

Might be so. I can see his USMNT becoming something he fully achieves while he is 26 years old and depth piece until then.

Big congratulations goes to Cameron Carter-Vickers. In January, the U.S. U-23 centerback joined a Luton Town team destined to be relegated with a significant hole in last place. CCV started 15 games for #LTFC and the club's record was 6W, 6D, 3L. He was a huge reason for survival

Mourinho might keep him past deadline day. He's shown well in preseason by all reports too.

He's going to play for the entire Championship on loan eventually.

Maybe by the time he is 26 years old.

Now that the Bournemouth fire sale has started, and Eddie Howe has gone- I think he's back at a relegation struggler. We've seen managers follow legends (Howe is one at Bournemouth for good reason) really have a hard time backing up past performances- finding a new identity isn't easy. CCV has a huge part to play this year for them and it's nice he got in early enough to start and play a full season. Their central defenders were basically the reason for their relegation- let's see if CCV can immediately get that starting place and keep it. I know you just made that joke but for a 22 year old CCV may have the most experience I ever remember one of our CBs having at his age. Miazga too. They have lots of miles and minutes for a position that doesn't peak until 4-5 years from now for those two. I'm not yet writing off CCV though I don't think Gregg rates him.

Since I don't really have a single team that I follow in the EPL, each year, I typically pick a promoted team to support/track. I try to avoid yo-yo teams. Bournemouth was that team for me and I supported them (from a distance) each year. It was a good story-really small club that made good, and seemed to have settled in just above a true relegation fight. They also played pretty attractive soccer to boot.

Now that they have gone down, I don't think they will be any threat for an immediate return (and it could be a long while, if ever, that they are in a promotion race again). With that said, I'm not sure they are likely to drop like a rock through the Championship and down to League One a la Sunderland. I think they probably float just below mid-table, but without necessarily being in a relegation battle.

I am just glad for CCV that he gets a full season and isn't getting dumped into an overtly dicey situation. I agree that he has a lot of time left and shouldn't be written off.

Can Miazga replace Ream at Fulham please..much more upside there. Surprised they haven't gone for him this window, feel strongly it's due to the fact that Ream is still there.

Ream is a solid player for club-he is fan favorite, utility man type he is pretty consistent for club. On the surface Miazga has more skill and is a "better" player but I would ,say at this point Ream is a better pro
