Also Zlatan is not the answer for LA to succeed they need Zardes back and a defender and another good mid also proves how Valuable Arena was to the galaxy 2 losses at home already and just 1 all season last year.

I went to the game. Painful. But we didn't have 4 of our starters so we shouldn't win, right? Van Damme's 2nd yellow was an easy call. I think he said something to the ref to get hist 1st yellow - actual foul wasn't bad. But, honestly he could have gotten a 1st yellow for an earlier foul. BTW, I'm a huge Van Damme fan. Was a fucking travesty last year that he didn't get defender of the year.

If there ever was any doubt Legit played himself on the roster for the upcoming qualifiers. You'd have to think Bruce was at the game. That desperation defending in the 2nd half when Adi couldn't finish it. . . Unbelievable. Legit sprinted 110 yards and broke up the play. The crowd was going absolutely nuts. It was such a shitty afternoon that we had nothing else to cheer about.

And agree, there were some scrubs on the field. We're just not a good team w/o Cole, Jones, Zardes, and Rogers.

that Lletget play was ridiculous. great hustle, shows he cares about everything he does as a pro, have to put him into the team, esp since Arena knows the guy from inside the lockerroom.

Arena's exit was a significant loss. Onalfo doesn't have the cred to run that bunch...nor the respect from some of the big egos...JJ will do his own thing...Gio will do his own thing or shutdown if things go south.

I'm pessimistic they'll be a top team until they change the coach and reshape their roster. I'll bet Onalfo is out as coach by midseason. AEG will pull out all the stops to rebuild the team and make the playoffs...I don't see Onalfo driving the bus at the end of the season.

@cleancut- the Loons are awful, but were expected to be.

Real Salt Lake is a shadow of what they used to be. Plata didn't play, but one guy doesn't make that much of a difference.

I'm this close to bailing out on MLS after the refereeing last season, and the inconsistent suspensions so far this season.

Even if the suspensions are right by the letter of the law, they're bullshit by the spirit of the law- and the letter of the law is bullshit, too.

Arena was at the game, TheTruth. They showed him during the broadcast.

Did you have any major observations about Diop?

Next time I go to a game I'll PM you, and we'll see if we can meet up.

Diop - I wouldn't make any strong conclusions on him from this game. He had several decent saves. It's a bit of a reach, but you could argue that he might have been able to come out of the box and snuff out the goal. Andyway, I think Brian Rowe stinks so happy to try out someone else.
