Congrats ladies. And no Germany wasn't robbed. They had a PK and missed it. The USWNT was the better team and deserved the win.

For the talk of Germany getting robbed, wasn't one of their players on a yellow in the first half and then she proceeded to crush Rampinoe, with no hope of playing the ball? Easily a second bookable offense.

Yeah but that Should of been a Red on Johnston our Best Defender. Even that expert Ref said it. Even if she missed it would of changed the Game 11 v 10. And that usa pk was a bad call even you know it. I'm glad USA won but you have to be realistic sometimes.

The PK call on Morgan was a close call. She was maybe 6" outside the box when the contact started. The ref shouldn't be given too much grief about that. At most, you can make a case for needing some kind of review.

Maier could have been gone before half, Popp deserved a yellow for an ugly tackle. The list can go on but that's the game that was called and I thought she did a decent job compared to some of the other games.

There were a couple of other no calls that could have been called against Germany in the box as well. Overall I think the ref did a decent job.

In real time I thought it was a PK. We had the benefit of replay the ref doesn't. There is no way you thought that it wasn't a PK without the benefit of replay.

Also I have seen that given as a yellow in many games/ leagues.

There could have Reds on German players in the first half. The ref didn't give the game to either team. The U.S. was the better team and you know it.

Dude come on everyone is talking about the Refs.. Even USA commentators saying they were lucky to win and had help from the Refs.. I bet if it would of happened to USA they would of been going Crazy and complaining like no other.. look at ESPN fc now their saying it was a clear red no doubt even in game speed... And is not the first time vs Colombia they had a similar on a pk call.. Come on they want USA in the final without them no one will go to the game or watch... just admit it we robbed Germany would of we won had the ref been perfect maybe yea we were dominating could Germany of won it yes absolutely they have the team to win it and had some great chances also...

Germanys right back should have been red carded in the first half when she crushed Megan Rapinoe on a yellow. The johnston one should have been a red but so should have that one. In the end germany missed a penalty the us made their penalty and the us played a much better game. The best team won and that was the US some calls went our way others went to germany. Bad calls on both sides and in the end one team came out victorious end of story.

Yea I agree USA was the better team but we had much more help from the Ref than Germany.. At the end of the day we have to win the WC we are heavy favorites going into the Final if we lose it will be an Epic Failure any way you look at it. I think we should win the Final by at least 2 goals and win it with Ease.. Germany was a much better team than England or Japan.

Japan worries me they have the technical passing skills to break the press and they like doing 1 touch passing a lot in the final third something germany did not do at all in today's game. I would much rather play England who play more like germany and aren't the most technical. Plus Japan they have been here before and have beaten us so they will feel very confident about their chances.

Japan has a very strong squad and is capable of beating anyone, one of the most technically gifted women's team I've ever seen.

Japan is not as good as the last WC their game has dropped. Their still a good team but I think we have a much better chance to beat them this time around and beat them soundly like a 3-1 type of score.

Bah your conspiracy theory is bogus. I never said the ref wasn't bad. But she wasn't favoring either team. The U.S. deserved the win. Referring is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you gonna get. That's all I am going to say about that.

That was a sweet win. JJ should have gotten a red, but like others have said, Germany got the benefit of some non-calls. We bossed the game and have no doubt we still would have had chances to score even down a player.

I didn't think Ellis would be bold enough to play Brian deep, but she did, all credit to her...also pushing Lloyd up field where she really wants to play. Heath had a sweet through pass to Morgan, but I like KO better on both sides of the ball...I was hoping she would get another start, but I'm stoked that she stuck the dagger in with her Kung Fu finish.

The biggest change to the team from the underwhelming performances earlier in the year has been the the addition of youth in Johnston and Brian...something that many thought would never happen under Ellis. Johnston especially has been a game changer in the back line....massive upgrade over 2011 when we had Buehler at CB gifting chances to the other team.

Japan is a very solid team, but if the ref let's us play...if they don't call the game too fussy, I think we overwhelm them... Johnston bags one on a corner and we're rolling...The team is really focused, they know they outplayed Japan in 2011...but let it slip through their fingers with some shoddy lapses from Buehler letting Japan come back to tie the score on two occasions...that one hurt bad...it's all about the Big Payback.
