He had chances and didn't look good at the youth level. Granted I don't think Green has ever looked good and he keeps getting into youth camps and rosters.

Wow. People at first were all saying he is fantastic. Better than Green. The next Magico Gonzalez. Now some want him to change just because he's lacked playing time. Green has had his chances, flores should get his.. Maybe it's because he is not half german.

Flores will probably be released by BVB at the end of the season. He is not rated highly by them. It happens with young players high expectations but players dont make the cut. In reference to Green Green has spent time training with Bayern Munichs first team played in a couple champions league games and has been tearing up the same division as Flores. Flores hasnt even seen much playing time in that division. Julian Green also did spend some time playing with Hamburg. Green is way ahead of Flores with his club. Also its not because he is not half german that flores isnt getting a a chance, Pulisic is getting a fair shake at dortmund and he is eligible for the US and croatia. Its about talent and Flores isnt good enough at dortmund could he make it somewhere else yes. But I wouldnt be 2 bummed if he plays for el Salvador. He could end up being a decent player for them and a decent career. I dont think he will turn into a great player.

Green did well against Belgium in the World Cup in what was literally his 15 minutes of fame.

What did he do to deserve the call up though, for the World Cup?

I think the US program is getting to a point where I don't care if Flores chooses El Salvador.

Nothing it was all based on potential. That said for a player that only played 15 minutes in the tournament he certainly made the most of his opportunity.

Obviously he should do whatever the hell he wants, but I couldn't imagine going to El Salvador. No chance to go to a WC. Maybe you make a Gold Cup (who gives a shit about that). He doesn't need the exposure; he's already had it. Need to fly 5K miles every couple of months. To play in a damn jungle somewhere and get the piss beaten out of you. That's love of the motherland. Not for me.

Would be a step up for sure. I am not sure if he would move into the starting 11 in the first year there. I do think down the road he could have a decent chance to make it into the first 11. Also its a good sign Wagner wants to take a look at him tells me he likes what he saw at BVB II.

No chance he could get a work permit. Does he need one though? Being on the books for a bundesliga team does that exclude him from the process? What about the fact that he comes from a central american country? I know a lot of Jamaicans, T&T, Carribean Island players can skip the work permit issue due to the whole England colonization history. Does that work for El Salvador too?

El Salvador was never an English colony, so no.

well I'm sure if there wasn't a chance of him being able to play in England then the coach wouldn't bring him in. So however it's possible, it clearly is possible.

Could just be Wagner doing a solid for Flores's agent. Perhaps Flores shares an agent with someone either already on Hudd or someone he's trying to bring in. Buttering the agent up by getting Flores in the headlines so other teams may take a look at him
