In Rain's defense, because I think both of you can be implacable ass hats in some circumstances and I value you both of your opinions, Rain's always been consistent on minutes/goals/assists recorded. Club impact combined with club level has always been his standard, and when Sacha fell out of Anderlecht's graces he admitted it.

I made the mistake of clicking on the "Lunacy" thread. It did not fail to deliver upon its name.

@Dunlopp yes we beat a B/A- Italy team, a C/B- Germany team in a freaking friendly. Did we beat Germany in the WC where it matter ? No we didn't so that result is useless. Just like Argentina losing in the Final then they Blew out an A+ squad of Germany at their house you think they care no. At Mexico ehhh Mexico had a B/A- squad couldn't even fill half the stadium for that game. The only result i give them was at Bosnia even though they turned out to be over rated didn't even get out of group stage. I just saw we are 0-3 vs Belgium their starting to become our nemesis. So tell me what power house have we beaten at full strength ? Last i checked we lost to them Belgium, Brazil, France, Holland, Colombia etc...

The lunacy is a love-hate thing. They love to hate, and at the same time hate their secret love and admiration towards Jurgen. This is all just a bunch of projection trying to hide their real feelings of rejection. Jurgen has dismissed you as veritable knuckle draggers of the soccer world, the "Glenn becks" of the forum as said before. And so- your love unrequited has turned to hate. Admit it-- it's a deep twisted emotional thing for you guys, much more than soccer, in a word, lunacy.

I am neither a democrat nor republican, yes I do have a temper more typical of a republican though. As far as intelligence goes, I don't know how to prove that to you. Do you want to know my old high school GPA and SAT score? Chances are I had higher scores than every single person on this forum by a considerable degree.

Records with Klinsmann in charge.

2011 half a year. 2 wins- 1 tie - 4 losses .2-1-4
2012 9 wins- 2 losses - 3 ties.
2013 16 wins - 3 ties - 4 losses. *Gold cup ( B teams ).
2014 6 wins - 4 ties - 5 losses.
2015 1 loss so far.

Up and down no consistency. And most of the wins Klinsmann has gotten has been vs mostly Inferior opponents. 2015 will be a great test and hopefully in the friendlies our opponents have their full squads as well as us.

That bolded part up there is exactly the shit I was talking about in the previous page. Anyone in the anti-Jurgen camp can't just say "2013, Jurgen did a helluva job and led us to our best record in a calendar year." There has to be an asterisk next to everything he's done right.

Seriously Cuba, Belize ? Costa rica with a B/A- squad maybe, El Salvador that sold themselves out, Honduras B team and a weak Panama squad. You call that Success what a joke Concacaf is only a 2 team race and randomly now Costa Rica. The only thing Klinsmann has done is recruit Dual nationals who have barely lived in this country.

He is making a mockery of the team I love.

Navi, can you expound upon this a little bit? I understand your frustration with Jurgen given his propensity for making confusing, and sometimes conflicting statements, but how has he made a mockery of USMNT?

The only reason people love JK is because of his Player Resume. General USA soccer fans don't really care what he does in 3 years and 11 months as long as we get out of group stage in the WC is a success in their minds. Well i for one expect much more i think is time we should all expect USA to win a WC from now on nothing less. Look what happened to him at Bayern Munich and Germany ?? He couldn't delivered titles and he got the boot, well guess what another coach comes and makes Bayern champion and very successful, guess what in Germany a new coach and wins a WC and makes History, when JK couldn't win it in his own country what an absolute Joke.

I always suspected you were a middle school student but now you've proved it. Any high school student would know what GPA and AP stands for.

AP stands for Advanced Placement. These are tests you administered every May that can award students college credit depending on their scores (and the college). Saying you have 7 AP's means absolutely nothing...did you mean to say you took 7 AP classes over the course of your high school career? If so, you would tell us the scores, because having taken the classes means absolutely nothing. There are a lot of AP classes that are very poorly taught and some where the students don't even end up taking the test at the end, and of course plenty of schools don't offer the courses but the students take the tests anyway. You could have taken 7 AP classes, gotten A's, and then bombed the test (which happens quite a lot). But we all know this isn't what you meant. You must have heard the acronym AP used often in describing advanced students and assumed it was some sort of award.

But the even funnier one is the GPA. Any high school student knows what the acronym 'GPA' stands for: grade point average. You are awarded 0 points for an F, 1 for a D (there are no E's), 2 for a C, 3 for a B, and 4 for an A. Some schools choose to award 5 points for honors and AP classes, but they are few and far between, and colleges only look at your unweighted GPA. So this means that if you get straight A's, you have a 4.0, and that if you got mostly A's and a few B's, a high 3, and straight B's, 3.0, etc.

You clearly thought that GPA was a measure of the percentages you received as a final grade in all of your classes. This statistic is not taken by any high schools that I have heard of, and it does not have a name. The only way you would have such a number is if you added up all of the percentages on your own, which I doubt you did, because a lot of teachers don't even give out that information. And you would certainly know that this is not called a 'GPA' if you had gone through than more than a semester of high school.

This is coming from someone who has taught quite a few AP classes.

So fitting that this is in the thread titled "Lunacy", because those words up there are the ramblings of a lunatic. "We should all expect USA to win a WC from now on nothing less"?? DO YOU READ THE THINGS YOU WRITE?? The greatest football manager of all-time (whoever that may be) could not guide the U.S. to a WC win in 2014, or 2018 even. Our talent level isn't anywhere close to being able to say we are contenders to win a WC. The EARLIEST we can hope is 2022.

You just have zero realistic expectations. Guess that's what happens when you're a Galaxy fan. You just expect to win everything. Doesn't work like that, kid.
