Losing by 1 to a good Chile team on the road with several inexperienced players/ players experimenting at new positions, all following several months off of international play? You're right, clearly the whole program is a dumpster fire and needs to be scrapped and rebuilt.

Feeling a bit overdramatic tonight are we?

I seriously want to find posts from 4 years ago and show you how apocalyptic everyone was then. We are a drastically better team than then. It's progress, it's transition, it's football. I understand the fandom and the high expectations we have for the team but the dismal, irrational "this team is a joke" stuff is laughable.

Not a good Chile team. No one could possibly say that. We're ranked accordingly - for once Fifa has us right. We'll get better, just gotta get rid of the dead wood (jozy, wood, rimando (sadly), wondo (worst striker in years in a US jersey), etc.

Come 2016 and definitely 2018, we'll be a-ok.

The problem is klinsmann ever since he came in we been struggling overall in us soccer. We need a somewhat young energetic American coach. And if we go internationally we have to look at south American coaches. You see klinsmann got fired from Germany and they became Champs and so did Bayern Munich. The man is a plauge for us soccer. #getoutjurgen.

These weren't all our top guys. Where were Howard (Guzan), Fabian Johnson, John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Johansson... Like playing chile without medel, Alexis and Vidal. Well, almost. It's no shame to say right now chile is better than USA. They were at the last World Cup.

Agreed, I don't know how anybody could think that was our best backline.

I don't see how you can possibly say we have been struggling when in his first full cycle with the team we won the CONCACAF world cup group and made it out of a World Cup group that, although overrated, was still very strong.

We haven't been struggling until recently, and while I think the majority of the blame for our recent issues falls on Klinsmann, to say we have been struggling ever since he became the coach is a joke.

I thought the game was fun and 3-5-2 had our guys playing on lots of space. The instant we tried to slow the game down it was to our disadvantage. I liked the open shootout of the first half, even if they got in behind brek Shea. In the spirit of the thread, having more offensive minded players (jones, Shea, mix, Bradley) playing further back allows us more attcking players. Of course it led to an open game. I want to see more of it against panama.

Would you really consider this squad a top squad? I mean a lot of people call it camp cupcake....

We were missing Geoff, Ale, AJ, etc.

People forget in the second half we switched to a 4-4-2 from a 3-5-2. The formation wasnt necessarily the problem the players especially jozy and clint were gassed by the 60th minute. I think klinsmann will try to make some adjustments before the panama and I do think the jermaine jones experiment is over he switched jones back to cm at halftime.

Aj barely plays with the US. FabJo disappears a lot of games. Cameron doesn't play with the US. Im sorry but JK sucks and this is the majority of the A team vs Mark Gnz.
