Because he is a more talented LM, LB and RB than we have in our pool and the rest of our team isn't talented enough to play the beautiful one touch passing game that Gladbach plays.

no we arent as talented not to mention he is just starting to get hot with his form. Unlike our national team Gladbach has a set system he has been getting used to. I remember his goal against Turkey pre world cup i just think our national team still not clear what were trying to do. The absence of Shea and Garza definitely left a hole even though FB hasnt played there (LB) in a while, with yedlin and chandler coming back we have "options (RB)" there no need to put him back at defense. I just think that just shows that JK values defense over offense.

Good to see him actually taking on players now. Sometimes he gets to conservative with his passing.

Break out year for him so far. Really hope he continues to play on the wing for the USMNT.

Yedlin emerging at RB will free him up. Now if we can get Brek Shea going at LB.

The USMNT will have a lot of pace in their side with the inclusion of Nagbe, Morris, and hopefully a healthy Gyau come the Copa America.

You guys hold way more hope for Shea at LB than I do. I guess we sort of have to because there aren't any LB prospects in the pipeline that we can get excited about. Maybe a LB dual national will surface out of nowhere a la Siebatcheu.

If you could clone players, how many Fabian Johnsons are there in your MNT starting 11? I'd have 3.

Why stop at 3?! LB/RB/RM/LM? Not like we have attractive in form quality options at those positions

I can't wait to see what he can do with Nagbe in the middle. And with Wood's/ Morris' movement upfront. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. If Shea can make it happen at LB then our left side is going to actually be scary.
If you don't love it, leave it, USA #1

Agreed. Wood and morris move up top. Screw hold up play get hozy out. I agree as well im not sold on shea at lb. since jk moves people around why not try ream at center back, besler left back.
Ream has goood skill but i think wld be better in the middle get besler speed out wide would give ream a chance to build out of the back? Wouldnt work but imo would be better than shea he just has to much to learn at the international level

I would take 20 FJs and 3 Tim Howards.

Might be a crappy Q, but, anyone think Besler can play LB?

Dfw_fan. I think there would be a learning curve of course, but what he has is speed, exp on the international level and def posistioning. Ream has good ball skills and exp in a good league but is a tad slow for lb but imthink has a place on the team he has a good touch
