I really think Besler and Gonzo get the start in the next qualifiers. Cameron doesn't play CB at all, and mix in the fact that he has become a bench player the past few weeks; it just makes to much sense to have Besler and Gonzo as the Cb's, who have a great understanding and Chemisrty with eachother already.

I remember fabian playing left mid against slovenia and thinking how dynamic he was. I remember saying man brek shea just lost his starting gig, then chandler bailed on us and fabian was moved to left back. I really want to see him at outside mid next set of games we need to mix things up.

The problem is that Jurgen's statement on Fabian was absolute. It was an absolute statement about him being leftback. When Jurgen has his mind set on something, there is no changing it.

Bet it took you an hour to find this thread.

Hopefully he stays at hoffenheim. I was looking forward to seeing the combination play with fabian at LW and Toljan at LB.

Too bad with the recent YA interview on Toljan and his minimal ties to the US.

interesting and good for fabian very underrated in my opinion. Only thing that keeps him from more is constant injuries.

Yup Jeremy seems to be the future LB for hoffenheim. Anyways although Fabian plays lw he doeant seem like a future player for hoffenheim. I think is a great move if he goes to monglebach. Specially if he is a full time LB.

Interesting. Gladbach is currently in a Champions league spot.

I wonder if he will play as a winger or LB for Gladbach?

Update on the Fabian Johnson situation. Hoffenheim want to keep him but he and his agent are holding out for better offers.

Hoffenheim confirmed interest from several clubs, most notably Gladbach where he'd replace the likely outgoing captain Filip Daems at LB.

So it's confirmed. Good for him. Gladbach would be a good spot to end up.

I dont like this announcement for a couple reasons.
1) Gladbach isnt confirmed. In fact the article also states Hertha berlin as a landing spot. Kind of a lateral move to Hertha.

2) As the season draws to a close, aka world cup draws near, Hoff looks like they will be safely from relegation and from any kind of europa spot. There wont be much incentive for the manager to play fab and we could see him start to be phased out instead of head into the world cup as a 90' every game bundesliga starter

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
