Gerrard back to Liverpool on loan or possibly as a permanent deal.

How do you feel?

It doesnt surprise me he started off well with the galaxy but his influenced waned as the season went on. I have heard its rumored to be a loan move which could be a positive for him. Or further add mileage to his older body before the season. Getting rid of marcelo sarvas hurt the midfield LA needs a true cdm to balance the midfield for next season.

And as far as on-the-field goes, both are veterans and signed only for what they will contribute in the next two seasons or so, during which the Galaxy aim to win silverware. Anyone who watched Gerrard play last season knows that he would be much more able to contribute to those ambitions than Sacha Kljestan.

But I'm curious...who do you think is better at this point, Kljestan or Gerrard?

no reason to disparage kljestan, who has proven he can be a valuable asset on a championship caliber squad - something he has been doing at anderlecht for years.

i like SG as much as the next guy but Gerrard at 35 (the age he will be when he joins LAG) a MUCH better signing than kljestan at 28 (age he was when LA was looking to sign him)?

(as blaise mentioned on other thread) reports are that NYRB is on verge of signing sacha, while NYCFC are closing in on diskerud.

if happens, would all be very nice additions to the league... and we'll see who adds the most value to their club

if LAG looking for a new GM ill consider an offer

Galaxy really didnt need Gerrard or Gio... surprisingly poor signings for a usually solid transaction club. I hope Gerrard goes back and they can get someone younger.

What other times did you "win"? Every major prediction you have made on here you have gotten entirely wrong.

Gerrard isn't taking the MLS seriously. Not a question of talent, it's a question of motivation. But I'm sure you think Kljestan would walk into Liverpool's starting lineup.

Gerrard was taking it seriously. Galaxy doesn't go after players that don't wanna try their best in every game. The problem with him is that he thought MLS was a walk trough but guess what mls is a faster pace league than EPL and he couldn't hang is not as easy as it looks ehh. Galaxy should release him from his contract he ain't gonna be any better next season his game will be lesser. To bad Galaxy was snubbed on Klejestan that would of been a huge pick up for LA had he came.

As a Quakes fan, I really hope LA lets Gerrard play for another season. He looked off the pace of the game and exhausted half the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried him at CB...which I believe is what Liverpool attempted to do during his last season there.

As someone alluded to before. . . I'd say Lando wins again here. They were a better team last year WITH him but WITHOUT 3 guys I'd consider to be very good players in the context of MLS: Gio, Gerrard, & Legit.
