I remember not too long ago some clown got on here trying to say the league was never going to grow and that in fact it has been declining in viewership. The league is not digressing. MLS posted an article about TV ratings and some records were broken. As we all know, the numbers have been fairly volatile over the past 5 years or so, but the league is certainly growing, as is the interest. Here's the article, let me know your thoughts:

Yeah and considering they were in between NFL games. I think it also helped a lot the patriots played on Sunday night. I Would love to see the views/ratings from the world to see the interest in MLS how much its grown. I would also like a final next year on a Saturday afternoon around this time when college football regular season has ended and pretty much just the MLS cup on that day I'm sure they will have huge ratings.

It'll be very interesting to see next years numbers if the Galaxy don't make the final and especially no Landon Donovan. I think that was a major factor in the TV ratings this year.

I'm sure Donovan had a big hand to play in it, but as long as teams maintain the level of play we saw this year from the big teams I think we may see similar numbers in the future.

If you have Orlando City wih KAKA playing in the final or NYCFC with Villa and Lampard those TV numbers are going to be just as big maybe bigger IMO. I can only imagine what the TV numbers would have been if Henry and the Red Bulls had made the final this year.

Good numbers.
