Well, it was fun to have Thomas McNamara for about 10 minutes.

Orlando now has Tally Hall and Donovan Ricketts? Surely a trade must be forthcoming.

Loving NYCFC choices. Mullins is big catch not only for club wise but for USMNT. Him learning from one of the best finishers in European football at his prime David Villa

I hope Orlando still goes after Robinho and that would be crazy sick if they got Ronaldinho on the team too.

This list of unprotected players has been released ahead of the Expansion draft. There are some decent players available especially from Columbus, Montreal and Toronto. Each team can only lose one player so while Atlanta may be set at GK, Minnesota might have to act quick to grab Steve Clark before anybody else is taken from the Crew.

Players that are intriguing:

Steve Clark or Dilly Duka or Waylon Francis from the Crew
Dom Oduro or Harry Shipp from Montreal
Steve Beitashour or Clint Irwin or Tosaint Ricketts from TFC

I really hope Shipp ends up on Minnesota. He might not be the USMNT prospect I was hoping for during his rookie season but I can't wrap my head around how he isn't a regular starter. A change of scenery would be a good thing.

There's also Charlie Horton available as a young goalie prospect (would make sense for Atlanta to take him to be behind Guzan for a couple years) and Clint Irwin.

Some other "names" that are available:
Landon (for headline reasons only)
Pelosi (if hes over his injury)
Boyd Okwuonu (U23 national teamer)
Brad Davis
Benji Joya
Blas Perez
Robbie Keene
McInereny
Seb Hines

A good mix of some youngish recent prospects and some MLS lifers. Will be interesting to see the strategy of each team

If they were going to pick a player from DCU, I see Jared Jeffery being more attractive than Horton. Ready to play immediately and for relatively cheap. With each team only being able to lose 1 player, I think Horton is relatively safe.

I would poach Opare from United. In my mind he'sthe best value on DC's unprotected list.

I think his salary is in the ~$100,000 range. He is a solid MLS defender though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get picked.

Irwin traded back to Toronto. Bizarre.

I was hoping that Tata would role with a 3-4-3 featuring

-Kann-Irwin-Tabakis-
------Guzan------

In all seriousness, Donny Toia is only on $67k, he's only 24 and he's ready to help a team win now. With all the money Atlanta is spending to win right out of the gate I can't wrap my head around why they traded him to Orlando for the 7th pick in the Superdraft. Seems unlikely that they'll land a better player than Toia in that spot.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
