It's 2-1 USA we've only let it one. The second was offsides but very similar to the first goal. Cross from their left our right and they had a runner go between Besler and jones to get a head on it. Both teams could've had another goal or two. It's been an open shootout like skangles predicted.

I want to see Zardes for Wood straight out of the halftime gate. Wood hasn't shown me much.

Positives and minuses, but overall not bad. Like Lalas and Wynalda said, this looks like street ball.

@skangles. I disagree- he's held the ball up well. The problem is he's doing what Jozy does, I agree we should put in Zardes but not because wood has been awful.

Given that description, I'd assume JJones bears some responsibility, because I'd guess he's not great at stepping up yet?

Shea is just never there on defense, or is he getting beat?

Yeah, skangles is usually on it.

Shea is getting beat. The UniMas announcers called him out early in the match after he let the dude go by him on a throw in. Mix was yelling at him shortly after that.

It's very confusing for some of them it appears. They are dropping the forward Besler is marking and as he steps up their wide attacker is getting behind brek Shea. Jones should slide left as well as birnbaum just as much as Shea should tuck in- for my money.

I don't think Shea's ever going to strike anyone as the smartest, or the most heart & soul guy. His positive adjectives lie elsewhere.

On first glance of the goal Jones was facing the cross coming in and the Chilean forward just jogged right past Besler into the space behind Jones and had an easy goal. Jones never saw him but Besler saw him the whole time. Only rationale that I can fathom is that Besler let the forward go past him because he thought he'd be offside.

Shea is coming back to defend but he's not actually defending or putting himself in position to close down the attack. Chile has had several dangerous crosses in space that Shea didn't close down.

I love Lee for Wood. I said Zardes a few posts up but Lee is just as exciting.
