Still can't believe that Jurgen wants to discontinue January camps. Is there any word on who the opponents will be for the friendlies. Please NOT Canada. Costa Rica and Mexico would be nice.

Why do we need opponents? Just make it a scrimmage or two in front of fans since it will just be MLSers and Mix. to make it fun, let the fans select a starting 11 from the camp invites (and let Blaise manage them) and then JK can select his 11 from the remainder and the substitutes can then be selected by team captain.

Costa Rica and Mexico it is. I think this January Camp we will pick up the most players to integrate to full NT than any other January Camp in the past.

Navi where are you reading that Klinsmann wants to discontinue the January camps and that Costa Rica and Mexico will be our opponents this January?

No, I meant it was the old JK sentiment (check old news articles). Costa Rica and Mexico was about what I want, not what I heard will occur.

I'd like to see Japan as the J-League will be out of season. Our domestic players against their domestic players could be a good one.

A couple of years ago somebody from Bundsaliga 2 was called in because they had a longer winter break. Is that still the case? If it is Boyd, Wood, and Morales could be included.

Yeah liked that they scheduled South Korea last year.

My guess it will probably be a South American or Central American team.

Goff saying Hamid, Birnbaum, and Kitchen are on the prelliiminary list for January camp.

Also said Hamid is drawing interest from Italian and English clubs

That's funny, I was just thinking a couple days ago that Everton should go out and get Hamid. Joel is not an option, Howard is injured AND starting to lose it. Hamid could learn from one of the best, and an American at that.

Per SBI, Brek Shea will be part of the January camp as will 8-10 U-23s.

All three are great inclusions, well done Klinsmann.

I'd like to see Hamid stick around DC for at least one more season. He elevated his game so much this past season, I'd like for him to continue to polish his skills before making the leap. I definitely want to see him follow a Howard-esque path to Europe rather than a Guzan-esque path.

I could see Hamid gone by the end of summer.

Newcastle would be great.
