I think the line up vs Ireland will be a 4-1-3-2.

- Yomba - Novakovich-

- Gall - Thompson - Flores -

-- Canouse --

- Acosta - Redding - Miazga - Turner

--- Horvath --

Subs, Sonora, Gooch, Vickers. Not sure how many subs are allowed.

Really like the look of Novakovich. He has quickness and pace to get away form defenders, good size to hold up the ball, a very good first touch and passing ability.

It seems that this U-20 team will be much more balanced from attack to midfield to defense.

Spot on. Target forwards just hold the ball up and go for headers, but Novakovich offers good link up play with teamates, hold up play, good dribbling and ball control. Which is just what we need. Ben Spencer is prob injured. Its good to know we have Andrija, Spencer, and Yomba competing for the striker role. Our midfield is already stacked like hell. This group is really exciting.

Agree. The link up play with Novakovich and Flores was nice too. Hopefully he develops into top striker for us.

The real question I have is where is Gooch going to fit in this team.. He can seriously play in any attacking position. I think on the wing cutting in with his sick shots would be best. Wonder how Yomba's play was..

Novakovich has a lot of potential and is fairly young for this age group too having only turned 18 in September

Good to see Yomba producing, was wondering how he we adjust. Looking good. I think having two CDM's in Acosta and Canouse helped in this game.

Good to see them keep a clean sheet, too, after giving up 3 a few days ago.

Yomba is a sturdy kid.

Don't know who hit it, but that curling shot off the post was pretty sick.

That shot was from Acosta. Acosta has been known to hit curling shots when he gets a chance. Cool thing about Acosta is that he can play either as a fullback(both positions) or a d-mid. He's got great ball control and is pretty mature for someone his age.
