I had a thought the other night.

Brooks is 24 right now, will 25 next year, what if by 27/ 28 he just decides

"You know what it's been so long since any meaningful cups and this world cup is blah, I'm retiring my international eligibility to focus on my family and club performances."

This is all hypothetical of course.

Would you change the way you feel about him? Would you stop being so invested in his performances, what if by 30 he plays for Real Madrid/ barca/ Chelsea aka the biggest teams on the planet and becomes top 2 defenders. Does his performance mean less to you? Being of the same nationality?

Now play that same game with Pulisic, TODAY. Would you guys be less enthusded watching him at Borrusia? This has NOTHING to do with them, or sports, it may be exceeding trivial, it's a nugget for our personal bias, projections to be manifested without any pretense of subjectivity.

I would not be shocked if Brooks does that. He seems to find an injury after traveling to the States that keeps him out for a while with his club. Perhaps, his next move will come with a wink and nod of no more International soccer unless the games are played in Europe.

Well if the Hazard to Real rumors come to fruition, I could see Chelsea try to sign Pulisic.

I feel like Pulisic coudl be as good as Hazard. I fear Hazards exceptional, but overhyped.

I don't know if Pulisic will get that kind of hype tho.

I agree. He's as good a finisher as Hazard is now, but not quite as good with the ball as Hazard.
