Frei with two awesome saves to save Seattle's bacon.

LD picks up the pace after an indifferent first half.

Well back to the drawing board for Seattle in the offseason.

Would love to see New England win the cup now.

Oh and I am so over Seattle playing on that crap turf. Time to find a soccer specific site to build a stadium.

Sure whatever you say. LA bunkered for like 80 minutes.

They towards the end, but Sounders did it more. Way more and LA had more chances. That's seat toes game plan.

Anyways.

Seattle needs to really have some good offseason acquisitions. Yedlin will be gone either in January or in the Summer, so they need to find a RB. They need actual Wingers(Signing Jordan Morris is a must), and it would help to find a better LB.

I don't think Seattle needs to change much. They were the best team in the league, won the Open Cup and were eliminated on the Away goals rule (which I hate but its a known variable).

LA won't have Landon next season and while I fully expect them to sign a big name replacement with his DP spot, I don't think they'll be as good next season. Landon is the heart and soul of that team.

I don't want them to get Ronaldinho.. I would prefer someone younger but no one really comes to mind. Will NE make Nguyen a dp next season? Read that there were some scouts at the game from England.

I feel bad for Sigi, because he's going to catch a lot of flak. He is a very good coach. He brought in Marshall and Martins and put together a solid team, with a good spirit. Much better than years past. 2tone, I feel for you...but, I think you just need to add a couple more quality players to the mix to get over the top...LA won't get in your way without LD.

LA without LD changes their whole attacking dynamic, he was the perfect counter point to Keane.

I agree about the turf...it takes away some of the magic from the high end players...it really is a crappy equalizer...ruins the game.

Oh well, Go Revs...

I thought the NEvNY series was a better one than the LAvSE:
partly refereeing
partly some so-so performances
partly some caginess from both SE and LA

Seattle did not want to get counter-attacked. They have to have had fewer chances/minutes in attacking third than LA across that series.

2tone: LA did not bunker for 80 minutes. What game were you watching?

stone88: at least have a specific objection.

Also, Zardes was crap.
My honest guess is that NE beats LA next week.

With New England signing Jermaine Jones I dont think New England lets Nyugen go unless its for some serious cash. New England is planning to compete for the next couple years and it would be a huge blow to lose a guy like Nyugen.

LA difference maker will be Zardes whether he is good or bad.
If he is bad then NE will push if not well NE will has their hesitations to go up.
Must say seeing NE win wouldnt be out of this world its a 50-50 but for LD sake i LA win would be nice
