This has been a top class series. Both legs were about as good as it gets.

However, the Red Bulls handled stoppage time as poorly as possible. First, Petke made a substitution. Why lose those extra 20-30 seconds when you only have 3 minutes to score? Second, I don't know what happened in the scuffle but Sam losing his cool lost about a minute and a half.

Really good series. I would like to see Henry stay one more year.

Davies with 2 goals while working his socks off. I hope to see him get called into the January Camp.

One area I need to give MLS some credit is that for the first time ever their playoff series haven't been spoiled by football yard markers and sideline paint. Even at Gillette where the Patriots are mid-season, the football markings were slightly visible but not a distraction. It's about time.

Heck of a game saw every single minute of it and enjoyed it. Also #NEvNY was the 3rd.highest trend during the game absolutely crazy seeing how they were going up against big college football games and rivalries. Can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow. Congrats to the revolution on making the finals even tho I picked them before the playoffs started.

Let's not kid ourselves- tomorrow's Seattle-LA match is the de facto title this season. In fact I think the winner may lose to NE in the final, but that doesn't change what a cracker this game will be. It's put up or shut up time for LA with the 1-0 lead, if they can get a goal or two it's basically over. The pressure is on everyone's new hyped up forward Zardes, who has looked quite average the 6-10 times I've seen him this year. Keane and Donovan will have the attention so let's see what your boy Zardes can do against good competition that is Seattle.

That was a great game! One of the best this season! I'd be ok with klinsi calling in Tierney, dude can whipp in a sick left footed cross!

Man the way the east playoffs have gone i hope the title can go to NE. East playoffs is the saving grace when it comes to this years playoffs aside from that LA vs RSL 5-0 thumping the west has been boring. Seattle vs LA keep disappointing all three and tomorrow I pray we see something decent compared to what we saw today.

Davies should get a Jan call up at least he works very hard up front and can actually play the target role pretty well. Tierney nice cross but i think he would need a bit more I mean that why Brad Davis was being called up right?

You know what I would not mind seeing the revs win it all. I mean 5th final they seriously deserve it. Even if they beat the galaxy I would be happy for them they seriously have earned it. And hopefully it paves a way to a downtown stadium.

I've said this all year-- and been laughed at. Tierney is twice the player that Robbie Rogers is, for example...

On a side note. Did anyone lose see mls is expanding the playoffs next year to 12 teams. Will have exact same format as nfl with top two teams get byes and 3/6 4/5 single elimination matches. Should make next year interesting as almost everyone will be in the hungry (12 of 20 in playoffs) before eventually settling into a normal ratio (12 of 24 or eventually more).

Tierney is slowwww. And his defense has always been suspect.

Watching the green bay vs Patriots game and the commentators gave a nice shout out to the NE Revs being in the MLS final to face LA or Seattle.
