2nd half:

47' Martins on Gonzalez. Call is fine. Definitely no caution. Gonzalez goes over with almost no contact.

58' Juninho on Martins- should be advantage Sounders. It may have been.

59' Gonzalez on Sarvas- good non-call

60' Scott (foul #3) on Keane from 20 yards- cautionable tactically- stops a shot from 18-19 yards. At this point I'd say it's better as a non-caution, since the contact itself was minimal. Scott should still be on the field.

Pineda shoves Sarvas in the wall: good non-caution
nothing else worth calling in this sequence. Pineda with a few more shoves is playing with fire a bit.

63' Gonzalez on Ishizaki - poor camera angle

65' Barrett on Sarvas - tough call, especially from CR's angle. Good non-call I think.

68' Barrett handball? No.

76' Marshall holds Keane's arms with both hands- honestly, I think this was callable.

82' Scott (foul #4) on Gordon. Gordon does not back in. Totally cardable. That's 1 card and 2 cardables on 4 fouls. In my book, Scott should get his second yellow here.

89' Scott (foul #5) on Gordon. Gordon backs in slightly and appears to be ready to jump. Scott climbs him and holds him down. 1 card and 3 cardables on 5 fouls.

90' Scott (foul #6) on Gordon. 2-handed shove. Ordinary foul, but that's 3 from Scott on Gordon in 8 minutes. 1 card and 3 other cardables in 6 fouls.
Why is he on the field?
If it was 1 caution and 5 ordinary fouls, I'd be fine with him staying, there's no magic number for persistent infringement. But given both the very cardable ones, and the repeats on Gordon, we're certainly past 2nd yellow here.

90+1' Gonzaelz on Donovan- good non-card

90+3' Scott on Donovan. Camera angle inconclusive, no replay.

The center referee has failed the game. He didn't quite 'break' the game, but he certainly affected the series by letting Scott stay in the game, and play next week.

Scott got to disrupt LA's attack 5 times without consequence (barring the free kick from 20 yards).

That's what many said about Beasley.. And we all know he did good at the WC.
Beasley scored champions league goals for PSV and played for Rangers when they were good. Rogers couldn't even break into a second tier Leeds squad. They are not comparable players.

The most overlooked thing is Scott sucks so bad, he shouldnt even be in MLS!

Hoping the salary cap goes up to remove these types of players!

People still had doubts about him performing at left back regardless of his record in Europe. Robbie Rogers can perform at lb. better than chandler. Heck jk gave brad Davis, Zusi, and Castillo chances and they suck. Multiple chances for Castillo. I'm not asking for him to be starter though cause I prefer garza, but a camp yeah.

I'll throw my 2 cents in about Rogers. . . No, I don't think he's good enough for the USMNT depth chart at LB.

I've always been a Rogers fan and I was surprised when he flailed in the 2nd tier in England (of course we all know why now). I'm a Galaxy fan also and have to say that Rogers has been good this year. But good enough for USMNT? I don't think so. Now, I'm not against calling him up in January for JK to have a closer look.

He is still learning the craft although his time is running out. When things like this happen it always makes you wonder why there aren't more massive shifts of offensive-minded/skill players moving back to D in their early 20s (yeah, yeah, I know all of you goon defenders are going to say it's not easy to make the switch. . .).

And it's a bit odd IMO that this Rogers talk popped up now on this thread. . . For those of you who haven't watched him much this year he actually had a poor-to-mediocre game. Sweet Jesus, he looked like a defender on a few of those offensive sequences.

Robbie is a good LB and yes I think he is better than chandler there. But I don't think he is our LB for the MNT now it belongs to Garza and Fabian right now. But that said he will have to prove himself in January camp if called and beyond. He is only 27 there are a couple of players who's career began blossoming around that age, cameron, zusi, besler, Beasley recent switch at lb re open his career, wondo, possibly lee nguyen etc...

I'm looking forward to these next two games. I can honestly say that I would be excited about every MLS Cup scenario. I'm not sure who I am pulling for in either game, I just want to be enetertained.

Revs might have a record crowd as well. Both games will be great.

Fingers crossed for a Seattle/NE final.

And if neither make it we get Donovan vs Henry in their last competitive game ever. We cannot go wrong.

Another entertaining game between the Revs and Red Bulls. As a neutral fan, I'm pulling for the Red Bull equalizer (on aggregate) and then let the gloves come off.

Good game.

So MLS is expanding to 12 playoff spots in 2015. I think this is ridiculous. Now 12 teams out of 20 will make the playoffs. So why have a regular season schedule in the first place? This diminishes the regular season even more. MLS needs to stop getting in their own way.

Totally agree, the playoff format is great as it is. Remember back in the day when 8 out of 10 teams made the playoffs? Only the MLS would do that!
