I am watching this game, and I have to say that Andrew Wenger is impressive at LW.

Don't see many players go stride for stride with Yedlin.

If Wenger keeps this up, he could potentially get noticed by Klinsmann for the January Camp.

Ahh they got a bit lucky oh well. Did you watch it in HD ? Cause I could not in Direct tv.
They haven't gotten the Big one MLS cup, I predict them and Galaxy in the Westerns Finals with the game being here in LA I think galaxy takes the supporters chield, last 2 games vs Seattle Big games coming up.

I think the treble in this case refers to:
1. Supporter's Shield
2. MLS Cup
3. US Open Cup

Given the way MLS' season runs, the CCL doesn't end until the beginning of the subsequent MLS season so it would be hard to win a quadruple unless one was participating in the previous years' edition.

Maybe it's cause he knew he fucked up with his clearance. No better way to light a fire under your ass than trying to make up for a mistake.

I see what you mean i guess ever since I heard the word treble when Bayern won the Treble
It included the League trophy, German cup and Uefa CL

Thats usually what the treble means. Remember most/no other league gives a trophy for best regular season (even Mexico and Belgium which have playoffs). Just like winning secondary Cup trouney's wouldnt count. Although technically a treble could mean any 3 pieces of hardware.

Does anybody care about the Supporter's Shield as a hardware accomplishment? It's meaningful for its home field advantage throughout the playoffs and as a ticket to the CCL and I agree that teams definitely want to win it in the moment but do RBNY fans look back at the 2013 season with nostalgia because they won the Supporter's Shield?

It depends on the team. A crappy team that hasnt won squat will take what they can get. I guarentee KC Royals will hang a 2014 AL Central Division Championship banner if they win the division while the yankees only care about world series appearances (and really just wins).

So Seattle which as a city until last year hadnt won a title in anything in 30-40 years (Sonics in 69?79? cant remember) would take what they can get. Cities like Chicago, Boston, NY, care about titles.

Bump because I can't find our 2015 thread.

You guys watching the Open Cup Final? 1-1 late, looks like extra time is in the works.

It still baffles me that Sebastian Le Toux was once playing in the USL for the pre-MLS Sounders.

I'm pulling for SKC because I think they'd make for a much better representative in the CCL. That said Philadelphia has been the better team tonight and I never thought Montreal would make the run they made in last year's CCL. Maybe Philadelphia could also prove me wrong should they win tonight.
