I picture this guy playing left mid ahead of Pelosi....

I don't know the rules nor have I checked- he has made u21 appearances according to sciaretta the legend- does that mean he is eligible for Olympic qualifying etc?

Pelosi should be nowhere near this roster!

Whatever happened to the national team call up? January camp would have been great although he already in form unlike the players in camp. Think we see him or not?

Don't know whether Jurgen was interested in bringing him in or not, but if he was, I doubt Gent would've released him.

We'll see him eventually. But no way he would have been called up for January camp. He is starting in Europe, his club would not have released him for a nothing camp. That camp was designed to get MLS and local based players into shape and see new domestic based players. The only Euro players that get called into it our youth guys like Keiswetter who are with Euro reserve or youth squads.

He'll get a look at some point (maybe even in March) if for no other reason because we need Wing options.

Unless he's a guest participant at a camp he'll have to file with FIFA for a 1 time switch. If he doesn't file soon he wont be able to participate in either the Olympics or the Copa. If we qualify for the Olympics than this year's game congestion will force JK to dig deep for players options. A good showing at either competition this summer will go a long ways towards identifying the leading candidates for the 2018 WC squad.

We may be thin at wing options right now, but there are players waiting in the wings to prove themselves and claim a seat at the table. Currently our options are Fabian, Zardes, Bedoya, Nguyen, & Nagbe. Since 3 of these 5 are better suited to play centrally, and 1 (IMO) is better as a backup to Jozy...That means that players like, Finlay, Pulisic, Green, Kiesewetter, Arriola & Gyau should be seeing our wing situation as a golden opportunity to make the 2018 WC squad.

Dave, Might be people waiting to prove themselves. But outside of Fabian and Bedoya, none are starting for a club at Wing for as big/good a team as Gent (which isn't saying a whole lot).

But starting in the Belgium league for one of it's better teams certainly deserves a HARD LONG look.

Agree, and would be more than happy if he were to enter the competition for the US. Right now the ball is in his court. If he wants to join the US Team he needs to file his paperwork. USSF scouts have been to see him play so they have shown an interest, although I haven't heard of any direct contact between him & JK. I just don't want to get to excited over the possibility of a player until they are able to actually play in a match.

I'm not overly excited for him either. I don't think his top end ceiling is as good as some of the others in our pool. But worst case scenario he would add good depth and potentially be a good starter (not great) for us.

Accepted a callup to Israel for their friendlies in March. This doesnt cap tie him but he's always made it sound like he'd prefer to play for Israel. Its too bad I would have rather see him get some minutes than Zardes or Mixx

He would be competing with zardes not necessarily mix since he plays as a LM for club. He likes to stay on the wing and cut inside. Whereas mix is more used as a 10 or as an 8 for the USMNT. Hes a good player I think he could have been useful for the u-23 team as a starter or as a backup to fabian. Its weird because in December he said that he was leaning towards the United States and that the US was better option to make a world cup. I can only wonder if he changed his mind or if he was saying that to get the attention of the Israeli National team just like Brizuela did with Mexico.

We take cars for test drives, it only makes sense to do the same with National Teams when you have the option.

Saief on the bench today for Israel's WCQ.

Can't wait to see blaise continue to put him in his ideal starting XI for the USMNT.

No....I'm just not gonna suggest we go after someone who clearly is going to be capped soon by another country. Seems logical enough to me, but...always a surprise with you!

Amazing that someone thinks that a 22 year old whose international career will peak with maybe a WC or Euro playoff appearance, and hasn't come close to playing a league as good as Ligue 1 is better than Bedoya.

A 22 year old that doesn't even get off the bench for the team that is 70th in current FIFA rankinks. His FIFA '16 rating must be awesome.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
