Portland won easily today, and KC should be able to win easily also. Is this the year an MLS team FINALLY wins the Concacaf champs league I really hope so. Mls needs to be the best in the region to be considered by other leagues and respected world wide.

KC playing pretty meh. Besler having one of the worst games i have ever seen. Zusis corners have been so so. If sporting gets a win they can consider themselves lucky. Esteli is fouling at an unbelievable rate. SKC playing with little to no patience just hoofing balls upfield.

Idk if its an exaggeration but it seems like KC really struggles in away games.
Also Cruz Azul also is actually losing to Chorillo from panama i think. With this they have 1 tie and 1 loss in two games.

Yeah Cruz Azul with a loss putting themselves in a really bad position. Cruz Azul would have to win their next two games to go to the next round anything less and they probably wouldnt qualify for the next round. SKC if they get a draw isnt end of the world would be concerning though since Saprissa is one of the harder teams to play on the road.

I cant wrap my mind around the fact that our MLS champion couldnt beat a team from Nicaragua. You had basically an A team minus Dom Dwyer and kornberg even though Joe Kempin is a monster. I dont expect a 5-0 blow out but KC struggle to maintain control of the ball.
Not the end of the world but just some after thoughts.

KC should of won by at least 3 goals. But at least they did.not lose. Anyways soccer does not exist in Nicaragua, I expect a win by at least 5 goals when they go to KC. Similar to America because there is also no soccer in Puerto Rico. Even with a B team.KC should be able to roll against these clubs.

So this isn't an MLS depth issue right, I guess the only excuse now is a midweek game and travel?

Aside from the obvious, that while MLS is getting better tactically, we're still deficient individually from a technical standpoint.

Just so you know, SKC drew with this team in the CCL just last year in KC.

If Portland can win their last game there is a good chance they will be seed team 1 in K.O rounds DC United is also perfect so far with 6 point and will prob beat Taurus tomorrow to get 9. Only team from Mexico that is perfect so far is Pachuca.
Seems like those are the 3/4 seeded teams getting home game second.

Montreal also perfect but i doubt they beat Red Bulls in Red Bull Arena. As for Sporting KC all they have to do is not lose by 3-0 in Saprissa

Did someone call Eddie? Goal for him DC is up 2-0 on 9 points in 3 games. MLS starting to have more depth on the bench to be able to field 2nd team and play well in group stages of CL

DC is through into the knock out stages and if Herediano can hold on for another 45 they will knock out Club Leon out of the group stage

Leon is out and so are the new york red bulls. New York sent a mostly second string team tied 0-0 and montreal advances. Lesson of the day you cant bring a second string squad if you don't want to risk elimination. Petke looks even more silly after his ill timed comment we are in the drivers seat after a loss to Montreal.
