I think it was Ives who said that Pep did shake Caleb's hand in the locker room. Again, passionate people get lost in the heat of the moment. It happens.

It takes 100x more class and dignity to not fight back. I gained a lot of respect for Porter. Its much harder to take the high road in these situations.

Look at Harbaugh for the 49ers. He looks like a clown half the time. Same as Rex Ryan.

Yeah and there's a reason why Harbaugh wins because he has emotion and wants to protect and fight for his guys. Pep showed 100x more class by fighting for his guys. Caleb Porter looked intimidated and showed no balls.

Thats utter bullshit. Porter wanted to get just as unscathed out of this game as Pep did. The Alonso foul and the other one wasnt of his doing. Plus he got a finger wag. WTF??In the end it doesnt matter. Everything was settled but shake the damn man's hand.Especially from someone as influential as Pep is on the global stage.

Firstly, Harbaugh has how many championship rings? zero.

Secondly if you recall it was the lions coadh Scwarz I believe who took offense to harbugh's antics and made an ass of himself. Would you rather have your team coached by someone like Schwarz, or someone like Porter? Also how many times dis Phil Jackson get tossed? When do you see Belicek get in a shouting match with a coach? Popovich? Francona? Most great coaches don't get in these pissing contests

I read many of the posts but not all so maybe someone already mentioned this. Everyone mentions it was an exhibition game and many Bayern players just arrived. Remember, the MLS players had less time player together than the Bayern team, most never played together. I thought it was amazing how well they geld as a team in just a day or two.

As far as not enough attention by people watch, even die hard fans often don't watch the NBA, MLB, NHL all-stats and NFL pro bowl. You can't say the MLS isn't growing because the viewing audience for the all-star game is low.

I wish ESPN and any other broadcasting of ANY soccer match would NOT use Lalas! He's such a joke!

I will say though that I wasn't a fan of Porter following Pep around like a scolded puppy dog trying to shake his hand.

If I was in Porters shoes, I would have just walked away. Peps loss of he doesn't want to shake my hand.

This game "counts" as much as us getting our asses kicked by Roma and Man U in the last few years. And beating Chelsea and Fulham. . . No clear pattern yet based solely on All Star game results. Need more data.

Pep is just a sore loser. Doesn't want to accept defeat. I bet if they were up 2-1 and a similar play would of happened he would not of gotten upset.

Just got around to watching the game. I have no idea what Pep is on about, the Alonso tackle was unnecessary but besides that I thought it was pretty clean.

So Bayern wants to expand their brand in the US but they want their players treated like they're made out of glass? I don't care that many of these guys got off a plane to come play in fact I think its kind of ridiculous that Bayern didn't have their team together before the game but that's on them. As Lalas said if they're worried about injuries they shouldn't have played.

They're treating it as if they did the MLS a huge favor by gracing the MLS with their presence when really Bayern had the most to gain out of this match up in terms of gaining US fans.

I'm absolutely fine if the MLS switches back to an all MLS US vs the World or East vs West format.
