Add Payne to the LB mix

Imo, RCB is going to be Miazga. Cam could play it, but with Miazga there we move a quality player to Dmid to give provide cover for MB and the back line. Also, the fact that if Cam is a Dmid it gives us another tall CB quality defender dealing with crosses around the box. I think that is kind of a big deal knowing how tall some of the quality Euro teams are...

that line up would give up about 50 shots on goal (the one with Pulisic and Nagbe in center).

REALLY because Mexico is always attacking !!! How come they don't load up with 2 DCM's in their starting XI?

The US plays scared.......

Concacaf Cup

Mexico - 63% possession
USA - 37% possession

Unfortunately the US currently needs 2 DMs due to the weakness of our defense. However even if we resolve the weakness of our defense I don't see us ever playing with a CM pairing that does not have at least 1 DM. Pulisic is an attacking mid while Nagbe is a creative Box-to-Box type mid. Playing them together would leave the back 4 too exposed.

I like Cameron as much as the next guy but he's no lock. I mean he's not healthy now, and so moving forward, can he be counted on? I agree, Miazga should be promoted at RCB. Cameron, for me, is what he has always been. The "12th" guy, aka Supersub, at multiple spots.

WAIT...you mean the mexico that played with a 5 man back line. No you are right they didn't play with a DM. They played with 5 defenders instead of 4 (Even more defensive). Not to mention the 2 Midfielders they did play with one is more of a defensive Box to Box type (that also plays LB on occasion) and the other is just a box to box guy that is well rounded. Neither are attacking mids. So there isn't a lot of space between defense and midfield.

Again Keep trying. SWING and a miss.

FOR CHRIST'S SAKE GUYS STOP FUCKING POSTING YOUR FIFA LINEUPS. NO ONE CARES. YOU'RE NOT THE COACH, AND THE COACH WILL PICK A DIFFERENT LINEUP THAN YOU DO, SO WE'LL NEVER KNOW HOW THE TEAM ACTUALLY WOULD DO WITH YOUR LINEUP (AND EVEN THEN, IT'D DEPEND ON THE COACH AND TACTICS). THUS IT'S COMPLETELY POINTLESS TO TALK ABOUT AND ARGUE AS IF ONE IF YOU CAN ACTUALLY BE PROVEN RIGHT OR WRONG. IF YOU REALLY WANT, JUST PLUG THEM IN TO FIFA IN A CPU VS. CPU GAME AND SETTLE IT THAT WAY. CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE?

I think the biggest subplot of Pulisic's break through is that this is truly Jurgen's biggest challenge to date.
No one expected to win the world cup, or make a semi final appearance. No one is pissed off over not winning gold cup as gold cup really isnt that important anymore. Sure making Confed cup would have been nice but really since he came about it was really all about 2018 and 2022.

Now here comes along a truly special young player, really the first we've had since Jurgen came up (Green and Zelalem havent come through in my opinion). How quickly/slowly Jurgen integrates Pulisic will be a hugely debated thing. Throw him in too fast and risk injury/exposing/killing confidence. Bring him along too slow and maybe he's not ready for the world cup or your team isnt used to playing with him.

Integrating Miazga is much easier (he's so much better than Besler, let him and Brooks play together to gain some familiarity starting in march, if it has bumps in march put it on pause through copa and come back to it in the fall. Getting Nagbe/Bradley/Morris/Jozy to all play off Pulisic (he should be the engine once he's starting with the offense going through him, not bradley) wil be the key to whether 2018 is a make it out of the group stage world cup or a deep run through the knockout rounds world cup.

see this is where i will get kinda like weird with Jurgen

if you bring up Keisewetter, who hasn't even started yet, in the bundesliga, same competition ON A LESSER TEAM

how can you justify not bringing pulisic aside from age?

I'm not sold on Nguyen as our CAM going forward. Think we're making too much of his playing a good game against Iceland's B squad. Depth player for me.

March friendlies:

Yedlin - Cameron - Brooks - Ream

Bradley - Nagbe

Bedoya - Deuce - Fab Jo

Altidore

*Assuming we won't have Morris available as he'll be with the u23's.

I like nguyen as a CM who lieks to get into spots and is not afriad of the ball being at his feet, being delivered to his feet, udner alot of pressure

same with nagbe

also, another shot at twellman, a guy again who i like btw, yes bradley is god, but did you see nagbe juke two guys in midfield (that might have been the second time that game he did that) free himself up and give keisewetter the lead ball which he won a foul that gave bradley the set piece which gave us the winning goal?

Nagbe is like iniesta in the style of quick turn with the ball

style not skill level

I feel you Dolcem. I gave up on roster predictions a long time ago. Oh yeah, that Christian Pulisic kid is really good at soccer and he's American! What we should be discussing is the fact that he is 100% "American developed". The US of A will finally get real credit for developing a World Class player.

Actually wasn't directed at you specifically, 85% of the people here do it. It's gone too far. It's like people think it's a presidential election or something, and we're all going to vote in 2018 who's going to be the next manager. People shouldn't view their line-up choices as how they are defined as a fan, as if they were their political views. I mean, heck, the anti-Klinsmann people are the Trump people.

Not hard to understand that one. Xenophobia breeds upon itself and Trump is there for them in their time of need. Jürgen "took our jobs" in South Park parlance.

According to Bild, Jurgen wants to call Puli up as soon as possible. I can only assume there is something about that last statement that the anti-Jurgen camp will find offensive or wrong.
