Roger Bennett did an excellent overview of Pulisic almost a year ago and I only just stumbled across it.

Agreed. Thought he was going to get one for sure, and should've had 2 assists, but Aube was shite in front of goal.

If you are watching the Dortmound Wolfsburg game to see Pulisic v Brooks, it is not happening. Pulisic has the flu and Brooks is still out injured

With his contract running out in two years there has been a lot of transfer speculation regarding CP.

With Real Madrid having a keen interest in Hazard, Chelsea are apparently interested in bringing him in as his replacement and are willing to part with the player they just loaned to Dortmund to achieve this.

Besides Chelsea, there is apparent interest from all over the PL as well as Bayern. I realize most of us would prefer him to stay in Germany, but Bayern have such a lock on that league he would not be playing as many meaningful matches and I fear he may stagnate.

Perhaps a move to a new league and a new challenge will suit him better, maybe develop more?

He's got a good gig at Dortmund right now, and he shouldn't do anything to mess that up. At least for now. The most important thing at this point in his career is playing and playing consistently. If he moves to one of those clubs, I just don't know if I see that happening. Not to say he isn't good enough, but there would be a lot more competition for a place in those squads and his development could suffer as a result if hes not playing regularly.

Bayern could be good as Robben is aging and he could grow into that RW role. Liverpool could be good as I think Klopp would genuinely try to utilize and get the best out of him. However, right now at anywhere else (Chelsea, Manchester United, Real, Barca, PSG) I think it would be a bad environment as they would likely be looking to cash in on him from a marketing standpoint and/or make him a squad rotational player.

Why on earth would Pulisic want to leave Dortmund. He's getting PT at a club that has consistently produced world class players over the past few years (it helps that they operate under normal financial constraints). The style of play in the Bundesliga is perfect for an attacking midfielder like him.

If he goes to England on a big money transfer, he'll be going to a league that might be slightly more competitive but with a style of play that is less conducive to youth development. It's more physical and less imaginative and he'll have less time on the ball. And of course he'd be on a team that only cares about results and is under too much pressure to experiment too much with youth (or letting young players play freely). Since the EPL clubs make so much money, they buy all the young players they can in hopes that one catches on and then discard the rest (they can afford to hedge their bets in that way). And that's not even to mention all of the added pressure that would come from a big money transfer.

Pulisic is not ready for a club like Chelsea yet, and he might not even be ready for a club like Liverpool. I don't want to see him languish on the bench and lose his confidence while fighting the psychological issues that come from not fulfilling people's expectations. A huge paycheck can also kill one's motivation.

These are crucial years of his development and aside from maybe a team like Sevilla or Valencia (and even then, probably not), there's nowhere better for him than Dortmund.

All of these arguments are sound. In an ideal situation, yes he stays. But the money being talked about to sell him may be too good for Dortmund to pass up. Besides, they have a glaring hole at the striker position and they already have players similar to Pulisic on the roster.

Pulisic would have to agree to any transfer, but Dortmund could heavily influence his thinking. If he baulks at agreeing to move, Dortmund could say they will not play him.

Bottom line is this summer Pulisic's transfer fee will be high, but as his contract winds down, his transfer fee will drop unless he agrees new terms with Dortmund. Dortmund may decide to cash in instead of giving him a raise.

Yes Dortmund need a new striker, but they've got money in the bank from the sale of a number of notable attacking players this season....
Ousmane Dembélé £94.50m
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang £57.38m
Emre Mor £11.70m

The highest paid addition this season have been...
Andriy Yarmolenko £22.50m
Manuel Akanji £19.35m
Maximilian Philipp £18.00m

BvB doesn't need to sell Pulisic, but if someone makes a real offer I'm sure that they'd listen to it. BvB is very good at finding young talent at reasonable prices, advancing them, and then selling them on.

I hope he never plays in England...just bad juju...some idiot would line him up and that would be the end of his promising career. I don't think I could handle that...

I hope he stays at Dortmund for a few years. If he eventually moves, I'd like to see him go to Italy or Spain...maybe a team like Athleti...

Stay the f**k out of England...

Pulisic is an intelligent man. If he decides it's better for him to stay he will stay. If he decides it's time to move on he will.
