Remember when...

Tuschel said, yea Pulisic is nice but he has got to keep working hard

almost like in defiance of his performances... Cause i'm like what gives man?

He's rocking it out.

Tuschel gets canned.

Pulisic says we're going to win against Mexico.

Retweets a Rongen "Greatest American ever."

... drives to a local game in a lambo...

I love the kid. Always. But please dispel any notions of a hard working, head down don't say anything type personality. The good wholesomeness. I like to think of Pulisic as a new era left or right sided forward who scores goals. Not a 10.

He might be brash.

I also find it hard Pulisic doesn't go for 30 to 40 million.

I mean it's the very European thing to do. Young starlet that you overpay. It either works out and you go, WHAT A STEAL, or it doesn't and you sell him for half that value when he turns out to be a very poor man's Eden Hazard. Something like a Hleb, or Mutu. that's saying something, because those guys produced. But shoot just based on projections, an 18 year old has been scoring in every match since the start, and or providing assists. This isn't friendlies nay more. These are cups (against Bayern!) and start of season.

He's his NT's best player.

He seems to be the starter on the flank now that Dembele nuked himself.

He's younger than Dembele.

I KNOW he's not better than Dembele, Dolcem, you're absolutely right about that. But Dembele is worth 150 million right now (he's not, but we're talking inflated market)

In that same inflated market, I think Pulisic is worth at least a quarter of a Dembele.

If you don't mind Dembele's valuation which is based on maybe 75 percent speculation, why does Pulisic's bother you?

@rey- he is brash and confident. And that's why his price will be high, confidence to make a difference.

I also agree he's great from that wide position in the 4-3-3. Bosz as coach is going to be great for him.

In terms of price, Pulisic is a guaranteed profit-maker for marketing purposes. I think even a single year of goal/assist production will send his value through the roof. Last year he was great but only had 3g/8a in BL (5/13 in all comps). Amazing for his age, but not that high for an attacking player. He could reasonably double those numbers this season and then he'd be in the $50M+ conversation. He already has 2/1 in all comps after two games!!

I swear I don't understand how any of this works.

Anthony Martial got how much?

And who di dhe face?

He's facing top flight like Pulisic is right?

Who's performing better?

You say Martial, but you wouldn't say it's out of this world comparison. The production is there numerical.

I don't think Pulisic is 122 million dollars. But i know it's not going to make sense to some.

Hopefully he keeps it going and has a great year. It will be interesting to see where Bosz rates him when Rues and Schurlle are healthy again. It seems Bosz rates him highly.

For me, Schurlle is the odd man out in that situation. But feels like there's plenty of games if you see a rotation among the front 3. Maybe Reus would line up centrally a little and save Auba for the stretch. 30 games is probably a healthy number for Pulisic in league action (Dembele had 32 appearances last year...Phillip had 25 for Freiburg)

Looks like this is happening.....Dembele now the 2nd most expensive player in history. Sad to see him go. Think Pulisic would get his PT regardless.

Grant is slightly off below. +30m in add-ons I believe.

Still amazed that Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc got Ousmane Dembélé for just €15M a year ago. Now about to sell him for €120M.

Re the value of pulisic, so much is circumstance. Had Liverpool parted with coutinho, they would have come after pulisic with a 50m bid imo.

Great test for Pulsic to again go to Madrid to face Real Madrid and go to England to face Totenham in Wembley

Any time PSG, Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea, ManU, City, or Bayern is interested in a player, their value increases exponentially. Those clubs have more money than they can spend, and everyone knows it. Moreover, for those clubs, 1 world class player is worth a lot more than 3 or 4 very good players. That's why someone like Neymar can go for 140 million. He will help PSG a lot more than 4 players worth 35 million each.

Pulisic is not ready to start at any of those clubs, so they're not interested (at least this year). Thus, his value is much more normal. The clubs that are looking to buy him-teams like Liverpool-don't operate in fantasy land.

As I said before, if he has a great season, he could go for 100 million next summer. He just isn't worth 50 million right now.

This is too bad. Pulisic was going to get PT regardless, and now opposing defenders will be able to better focus on him. Getting to play alongside Dembele was good for his development.

120 million...what a joke. He's good but nowhere near that good. He's had one good season and now they think he's ready to play with Messi and Suarez. Why not give some of the academy players a chance? Barca's ownership sucks. Just a few years ago, I'd always root for them. Now I want to see them lose.

Liverpool may not operate in that stratosphere, but they quickly would if they would have unloaded Coutinho in the Dembele neighborhood. They would be forced to get another piece and they would have wanted it from someone who doesn't believe the should be a seller of talent (Dortmund). If this sounds familiar, it's the same scenario that made Dembele a $150m player.

Having said that....they next best bid for Pulisic might "only" be 25m and having said that, Liverpool wouldn't bid 50m for Pulisic as their team stands *right now*. And having said that, the offer price on Pulisic from BVB's perspective is probably much higher now that Dembele isn't there. They couldn't afford to lose him at this point. This is the stuff that makes markets.

Re Barca....look at the bright side.....Rennes about to get hood rich for developing Dembele. Wish American youth clubs operated with these incentives.

So If Pulisic has a 10+ Goal 10+ Assist Season then next year he Should be worth between 150-200M Easily since it will surpass Dembeles stats... And Pulisic will still be Younger... Hmm really exited for Pulisic looks like he will be a lock starter this year.. Also Champs league will be a great opportunity for him to raise his stock.
