Breathe a sigh of relief after the transfer window is over. My guess is that Pulisic's name will start to be rumored as a possibility to move to Liverpool now that Coutinho has formally put in a transfer request.

American owners, familiarity with Klopp make it plausible. Add to that the player gets a percentage of the fee if he does not put in for a transfer, the money may be too good to pass up.

If Dortmund rejected 120 Million for Dembele im sure they will reject 40 million for pulisic the talent gap between them isnt that massive. At least 50 for pulisic he is young with a bright future and is very marketable.

50 million for a player who has scored five goals in his career and isn't an automatic starter? How do you expect us to take you seriously?

Hmmm. I don't think Pulisic is worth 40 or 50 mil right now, but Stoke was willing to pay 20 mil for him last year with only playing half a year in Dortmund first team. So I would say a team would probably pay around 40 mil for him.

And Pulisic is more than just scoring goals.

With these over-inflated fees and his hype I could easily see Pulisic getting a price tag of $40-50 million. Would a team pay that for him is a difference story but the joke of the transfer market is teams offering $40-50 million for Alexis Sanchez. Dude is easily would $80 million compared to the transfer fees and fees that have been paid in this window.

What has he done this year to justify his value more than doubling? Pulisic at the end of the season before last was playing about regularly as he was last season, and while we can only be pleased with his progress, it's not like his trajectory has changed drastically. He's not worth more than 30 mil.

Of course he does more than score goals, but 50 million is absurd. Dembele, at this point, is playing at a much, much higher level. But 100 million is about the stupidest thing I've heard, although it's because it's Barca and their budget right now will be ridiculous because of the Neymar money.

On transfermarkt he's valued at 18 million euros. There's no way he's three times that.

It doesn't matter what he is valued on transfer market. It's what a team is willing to pay. Yet again stoke was willing to pay 20 mil after barely playing half a year with Dortmund.

Hard to say Dembele is playing a higher level.

My prediction is that Pulisic has a very strong season, cements his role as lead dog on the USMNT, plays very well in the World Cup, then gets transferred for $60-80 million just after the Cup, before the 2018-19 season. He's very good, and his marketing value at that point would add a sizable multiplier onto his transfer value.

No, it's not. The latter is an automatic starter who is wanted by Barcelona. The former is in and out of the starting lineup.

He has a new manager so it may be interesting to see what happens with him. Come January, if Tuchel has a new job and he needs players, he may go back to Dortmund to raid their bench.

I'd say with the current American market that fact that he is from the USA may help his transfer fee be higher as he will surely be worth something in marketing fees alone. I'd say 30 mil, but Dortmund don't need to sell him until he is a top star worth a lot of money. The fact he isn't German means Bayern don't have to bid, but having a rich team like Liverpool known to be after him would in theory raise his price above what it actually should be

Yup Similar to when Man u and Real Madrid signed Chicharito he was not nearly good enough to play for them yes he had his moments but it was all marketable and they knew it. It was just a business move to help grow their riches they made 100xs more $$$ in him than what they spent. Smart investment. If Pulisic has as good year his Stock will be huge. 50M and above I Guarantee It....

I think you're both right.

Pulisic looked better these past couple games.

But Dembele is better. For now at least, I'm giving Pulisic the benefit of two VERY important years in development.

Pulisic is turning 19 in a month, so he's less than a year and a half older than Dembele.

Within one years' time, Dembele could be worth 20 million and Pulisic 100 million. If Pulisic tears it up this year while Dembele falls off, those could be their market values.

I'm just saying that right now, Pulisic is just not worth 50 million.

And the Chicharito comparison doesn't make any sense because Chicharito has never been sold for a sizeable transfer fee (and he produces a lot). If Puliisic has a good year and a good WC next summer, I have a feeling a Premiership team will shell out a ridiculous sum for him to try and gain some American fans. Don't think that'd be good for his development though.

Anything could happen though. A lot of kids break into the first team at 18 and then end up becoming nothing more than journeymen. So we should temper our expectations. But on the other hand, aside from maybe Altidore, this is the first time since Freddy Adu that we've had the chance to get really excited about a young American footballer. Pulisic actually has the potential to be a world class player, someone who could play for any team in the world. So let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Goal and assist today. Looks like he is playing at a pretty high level. Oh Dembele isn't playing.
