On top of that good news bild is reporting that klinsmann is keen on bringing pulisic in for march world cup qualifiers. My question would he not be better served playing for the u-23 team against colombia. Although I am not sure dortmund would let him play in those games versus march where they have to release him. Anyways hopefully he can be convinced to come in march and we cap tie him. If not then the copa america or world cup qualifiers later in the year could be possible options to bring him in. For those who caution using Julian Green as an Pulisic is much further along with club then Green ever has been with Bayern.

Clubs don't have to release for the U23 games. JK has already stated that both Brooks and Yedlin will probably be with he USMNT due to those restrictions. It's likely we see Pulisic with the USMNT in March as well.

I get why Hertha would not release Brooks now that he is signed long term. Now that Pulisic is playing with the first team, it makes no sense for Dortmound to release him to play a competitive match. For Yedlin who has control over him is it Tottenham or Sunderland? I can see Spurs wanting him to play in Colombia more than Sunderland would like to see that.

Would not surprise me either if Miazga is not released for that game either. Could see a back line combination of EPB, O'Neil, and CCV.

Releasing players really depends on how their teams view them. For players who are in their teams plans for real/consistent) 1st team minutes (Brooks, Yedlin, Pulisic) are not likely to be released for the Olympic play-off. Players on the cusp of 1st team minutes is a coin toss. If their club thinks it's more important to get them Game Experience than they'll release them....If they think the player would be better off training w/ their clubs they wont. CCV & Miazga are likely to fall into this category. So unless they have a release written into their contracts, like Diskerud did last time around, it's anyone's guess if they'll be released or not.

Pulisic is interviewed on the latest SI Planet Futbol podcast. I have yet to give it a listen.

Zero chance. Croatia has tried and failed multiple times. When the Croation federation announced publicly that they were pursuing him Christian immediately put up an American Flag on his Twitter.

I just wished our German Americans had the same attitude and spirit as him. But then again they weren't born or raised here so i understand them.

I'm not is a fact.. The reason i like Pulisic more than the other duals is because he is Home grown, and made it with one of the best clubs in the world at just the age of 17. Heck not even our German duals made that accomplishment even tho they played there their whole lives and knew the style there yet couldn't crack the first team til much later than Pulisic. He is the only American currently that has a chance to be a world wide superstar, like a Zlatan, Messi, CR7, Iniesta, Suarez, Neymar, Van persie, Muller etc type of name player a couple years down the road.
