So details have been revealed about Pulisic's contract with Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund has invested long term in him giving him a 5 year contract. As soon as the paperwork is signed he will be able to join up with Dortmund, more than likely after the Copa Naciones tournament.

Sounds like he is going to push himself to try and make the USMNT 2018 WC team. That would be a hell of an achievement. He would be 19 going on 20 in 2018.

Maybe him and Gyau can get some reps together for BDII. Great move.

He could very well be the US's first Messi/Goetze/Hazard type of player. Highly technical with both feet, quick, great passer, great low center of gravity, can beat players off the dribble at will, and scores goals with both feet. He stands at 5'7" right now at age 15, but I think he will grow to 5'9".

Now there is one hiccup. He does have a Croatian passport, and I wouldn't put it past Croatia to ask about his availability about playing for them. But as far as I know he is committed to playing for the USA. He is a second generation Croatian-American on his fathers side.

He will get stronger, faster and more technical in Germany. He is not only my darkhorse to make 2018 but have a big impact as well, full time starter. Wright is another player he can be a big imposing foward by 2018 he might stand at 6'5 or so with blazing speed and ball control with great finishing. Lukaku kind of type but with better dribbling.

Gyau, Flores, and now Pulisic. Dortmund could have a distinctly American flavor in attack in a few years.

It's because clubs are finally recognizing that they should be tapping into the American market. And one huge way to do that is to have Americans playing for you. Did I pay attention to Chievo or Roma before or after Bradley played for them? Nope. But when he was there, I would always check up on them. Hell, a big reason I chose to support Everton four years ago was because Timmy is there and Landon was on loan. (In hindsight, I picked the best club anyways, regardless of Americans on the squad.)

Moral of the story: clubs are recognizing that having Americans = American attention = American $$$

As unlikely as this is to occur, it's nice to think about the possibility. Truly is a great sign for US youth development though. That we have players BVB considers worthwhile signifies that we have indeed made progress.
