Koroma scored in the 43rd minute. US up 1-0 at the half.

U20 players like Tommy and Arriola prob won't get looked at until after U20 WC.. Prob just 93s and 94s for now.

Gyau is to old for this cycle unless he is one of the over age players chosen, which is doubtful since it's usually senior players chosen.

Even though there is a chance our promisingn players won't turn out, there is still a distinct different in level of play and quality of clubs of our young guys compared to the last cycle. That's something to look forward to.

Overage players are usually defensive minded players. Goalies, Defenders, fullbacks, DMids. Its a lot easier to find a young attacking player than a young quality defender. My bet on overage players as of today would be Howard (or Guzan), Besler, Bradley (start the transistion to play closer to his own goal)

Overall I'm happy for the boys and hope they can continue to play well. The biggest question will be how many of the US players will be available/released for the Qualification Tournament. MLS & MFL Clubs are good about releasing players, but anyone else's release is questionable.

Hopefully with the change in format it wont matter. New format is two groups of 6 teams (meaning we wont have to play Mexico). Top team in each group automatically qualifies. Even without our euro guys we should be able to top the group. And if not, the 2nd and 3rd place teams in each group advance so we'd still have the one last shot at winning an elimination match to advance.

That's only for the U-20's. The Olympic format hasn't been changed.

And only two teams from CONCACAF go to the Olympics.

Correct. I thought he was saying hope the U20s qualify. I'm still not used to this U21/U23 team thing yet.

A few really nice goals in there...namely the last three. As long as these guys don't take qualification for granted like we did in the last cycle, we should coast to Rio.
