And that's why you play the game! What a result!

Can I just say that for somebody who spends a lot of time around the international game Fran Fraschilla sure says a lot of nonsense. How many times has he said "When the US plays Spain in the Final, Spain will be the favorites. I equate Spain's home court to an 8-10 point advantage." He made that comment at least once or twice every US game. Glad he was so certain of the Final during the Group stage.

I don't know about you but I don't like way Spain plays or at least has played the US in the last Olympics and FIBA. To me they play dirty and get away with it. So yes I am glad that they lost even though they brought their best possible team.

Another Blowout. I expect the same in the Final.

Imagine if Lebron, Durant, Melo, Paul, and Love were playing.

The US executed a perfect first 2.5 minutes in third quarter. If this was a MMA fight the first five points caught Lithuania and in the next five points the US pounced on Lithuania and waited for Herb Dean to stop the fight. Everything after that was just going through the motions.

I liked how Lithuania played in the first half, they did well and were right in the game coming out of half time but Coach K got the boys to execute his master plan and it was game over.

It would probably look a lot like 2012...

People aren't giving this group of US players enough credit. These guys are really good and the structure of this 12 man team this US team is more balanced than most previous iterations of Team USA.

Kenneth Faried might not be the sexiest name in this tournament but for me he's the tournament MVP thus far. He's been an absolute beast.

Coach K's player picks have all turned out really well. Klay Thompson was vital for us in the first half. The third quarter the us has been incredible. The focus on three point shooting and the choice to use faried at the 4 rather then a strech 4 were both very smart tactical decisions. After durant had left the thinking was they would use a strech at the 4 .Instead they use faried whose energy has been pivotal to us owning the rebounding this tournament.

I had forgotten about the game until I saw an update and watched some of the 2nd half. With NFL going on doubt many people watched it.
