What better way to bleed in the new guys... I liked Colombia's game, but their first real tough test was against Brazil, ours was second game, maybe first if you factor in Ghana's form coming into World Cup. This is a great opportunity and measuring stick.

Bump the Next few weeks are incredible for US soccer fans, my DVR is going to be full. We, or at least I, need a list.

I don't follow our Women's youth teams so I'm excluding the games from this list but if you're a fan be aware that the U-23 WNT have three games in May (no TV) and the U-20 WNT have three games in early June (on ussoccer.com)

All times are Eastern and only cover Group play for the U-23s, U-20s and WNT so we will hopefully have more games to add to the list.

Wednesday May 27

  • U-23 MNT vs France - 1:00pm - BeIn

Friday May 29

  • U-23 MNT vs the Netherlands - 11:00am - BeIn

Saturday May 30
  • U-20 MNT vs Myanmar - Midnight - FS1
  • WNT vs South Korea - 4:30pm - ESPN

Sunday May 31
  • U-23 MNT vs Costa Rica - 11:00am - BeIn

Tuesday June 2
  • U-20 MNT vs New Zealand - 3:00am - FS1
  • U-23 MNT vs Qatar - 12:00pm - BeIn

Friday June 5
  • U-20 MNT vs Ukraine - 3:00am - FS1
  • MNT vs the Netherlands - 2:30pm - ESPN

Monday June 8
  • WNT vs Australia - 7:30pm - FS1

Wednesday June 10
  • MNT vs Germany - 2:45pm - FS1

Spoiled, yes but just think what it would be like to be a Mexico fan. They get all of the above plus Copa America.

I guess but the U20 world cup, Womens world cup and Gold cup are tournament that we expect to enjoy because we have quality representing the nation.
When you compare that to mexico their WNT wont be challenging for the world cup and i dont see them doing much in copa america.

I agree with you that I don't expect Mexico to do much in Copa America but I think this helps them longer-term to sort out their roster depth. I'd love to give guys like Nguyen, Zardes, Kitchen and Hedges significant playing time in meanigful games to see how they handle themselves on a big stage even if the collective result isn't likely to impress. For Mexico this is a brilliant chance to play Jimenez and Herrera up top where they would struggle to find playing time when the team is at full strength.

As much as it pains us to relive our 2007 Copa America result, I think that tournament paid dividends despite us finishing the group with 0 points. The tournament was the first high profile competition for guys like DeMerit, Davies, Sacha, Feilhaber, Beckerman and Clark. It was worth it for DeMerit and Davies alone as these guys quickly established themselves as integral parts of our 2009 Confederations Cup team.

I take your point on the women where our team is superior but on the men's side Mexico should be comparable to the US at every level (on paper) plus they're getting the Copa America experience. I am quite jealous that they pulled off the Copa America gig in this very busy summer. Kudos to them.

The pan American games also which is sub 22 are in July. Mexico is also in it. To bad we are not. Wow Mexico is massively stacked with games more than any other country in the world.

Blaise mentioned this in another thread but US vs Brazil on September 8 at Gillette.

We could have played Brazil and Peru in the Copa America in Chile this summer instead of in friendlies at home.
