Also makes me happy that Nagbe didn't go to Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers would have appreciated the hell out of him, but after 3 games they would probably want him gone for "not getting into the game".

@rey- People in the USA are just as dumb. Celtic hasn't lost a game all year, was 26-1-0 entering the game. Rangers fans ought to be happy that Hyndman put in such a nice low shot the keeper couldn't do anything but parry it to the oncoming Rangers player for the draw. Not factored in by those dummies is the fact that Celtic is much better than Rangers all across the field. We know Hyndman isn't Messi, but he's solid and deserves a look sooner rather than later. I'd prefer it if Arena went the Jürgen route and named guys like him, Miazga and Arriola as substitutes for the qualifiers. Hyndman needs to be integrated over guys like Nagbe and Besoya in my opinion.

Hyndman is literally the "replacement" for Klesjtan or the Central midfielder who isn't a "destroyer" or a out and out attacker.

If we play 3 in midfield, we can TOTALLY, in theory have a EPB (imagine fully grown, fully established as a CDM), Zelalem, Hyndman.

To counter Zelalem's snail approach Hyndman would be the shifti guy, looking to move the lines forward.

Basically the U20's except with more maturity, more stability (love marky delgado, but EPB is better.) and more teeth.

of course, years from now, providing they all mature and progress the way we would like to see.

Monte Carlo football

if you're not a winger or a Michael Bradley charging through the middle you might as well not be there.

Reason why I wasn't too pissed hwen I read that Zelalem was "struggling".

HEre's what they said about Hyndman this Sunday

Garbage, lazy, uninspired

http://www.footballinsider247.com/rangers-fan...

I think I should coin that. British football is monte carlo football.

I could see their disappointment as this was a derby game and I wouldn't say he had a good match, but neither did the rest of the team early on. My impression was he was thinking too much of where he needed to be defensively for most of the match and it was only in the later stages that he began to play instinctively, which is when he played better.

He didn't think enough on the goal. Which is why he isn't a deep def midfielder. But again, we don't expect him to be.

First guy, I think Holt, flubbed his chances, then to make up for it he chased. Went more towards the top of the box, Hyndman wasn't tracking the eventual scorer, and he wasn't necessarily harrying the guy who found the scorer. Kinda in between.

So is it Hyndman's fault? partly yea, because in a two CM set (in theory it should be a four with the LM and RM), you have to divide that line in front of the defense by 2. Def and offense, it's all your responsibility.

But again I say Monte Carlo, because Hyndman's been taking his chances, and he's benefited from it. Zelalem isn't that kind of "hopeful" kinda guy. He wants the 90 percent from positioning and finding people on the field.

I didn't think Hyndman had it in him to be that attacking, I honestly saw him as someone who's deeper than Zelalem, but whatevs.

I think he played well at CDM, all things considered, but why would you want him there long term? He's an absolutely amazing CB, who for my money, should start for SKC.

Like Ramos said, he can play CB.

I'm ignorant of the future condition, I can't see our CDM because he hasn't appeared yet. And truthfully that alone describes the futility of our conjectures about personnel at this point.

But from this very narrow view, of all the prospective CDMS 20 and under there isn't anyone I am crazy about.

But CB's, there's a ton of them. Would you share that viewpoint? Like if we had a veteran Brooks in 4 years, standing next to Miazga or CCV, or maybe if they both pan out, or Glad etc... then having EPB at CDM is a luxury.

The CDM that Tab was raving about a year ago as one of the best he's ever coached was Danny Acosta and then he played him at LB.

I honestly didn't think Acosta was a CDM, he looked like a natural at LB.

I know that sounds an awful lot like resounding his call, I'll admit that.

But I honestly loved how Acosta attacked on the flank.

This cycle there aren't a ton of CDMs, you're correct. But as far as the future, Kellyn Acosta is one who comes to mind. So if the team was in a pinch, EPB would be fine there, and if he's really the best we've got then that's also fine. But I'm very confident there would be a capable, natural, defensive midfielder.

Howe seems to like him at Bournemouth. Really hoping Hyndman fights his way on that squad next year.

Me too. I'd hate to see him at Celtic, but it would give him the possibility of Champions League football
