Let me correct you 2tone. I think you don't want to see dead weights. Players like Davis, Bedoya, Zusi, Wondo, Evans, Castillo and Sacha Klesjtan are all dead weights. Since the friendly is in Europe and MLS will be having play offs JK is going to bring in a heavy Euro based squad and hopefully we can see a lot of young players.

Goalies: Howard(not young but he's going no matter what), Guzan, and Cropper.

Def: Cameron, Johnson, Chandler, Brooks, maybe Omar depending on how Galaxy does, maybe Besler, Lichaj.

Mid: Jones, Williams, Mix(need to see more from him), Gil(depending on play offs), Bradley, Shea, Yedlin.

Fwds: Agudelo, Altidore, Green, Gyau, Boyd, AJ

Wishful thinking but what do you think?

I would expect a few more changes and mostly a Euro side:

Goalies: same as yours

Def: Swap out Omar for Packwood

Mid: Swap out Shea for Hyndman (if he is getting matches for Fulham) or Stanko

Fwds: same as yours

Klinsmann said that before the Gold Cup he will be calling up young players for friendlies. So we play Czech republic on September, and maybe some other teams in November to end the year.

Also keep in mind that JK is going to run camp cupcake differently from the past camps. Normally these camps are just for MLS players to get them ready for season. But Klinsmann is going to use the camp for young players. There are a lot of young players in the MLS that he can call up but we'll put that in another thread.

Maybe this is the start of the real Klinsyball that we have been waiting for. No more dead weights like Wondo, Bedoya, Zusi, Davis, Evans, SK, Castillo, hell Donovan is pretty near all that too. I'm extremely excited to see which young players that JK will call up.

Young players Galore!

Are we officially only playing the one game in September? Our game is on the 3rd but the FIFA window is September 1-9, with the UEFA 2016 qualifiers are mostly on the 9th (Czechs play us as a warm up for the Dutch). All the other European teams play later in that window either in qualifying or in friendlies (7-9), so those teams are out, as are the Central American teams (Copa Centroamericana), Africa (Africa Cup of Nations qualifying), etc. Maybe someone from Conmebol?

I'd love to see us play a full Chile team, when we played them a few years ago it wasn't their best 11 (nor ours, it was a Camp Cupcake game the year after the last World Cup). It's funny to go back and read who played then in the first Camp Cupcake after the last World Cup and what became of them in the USMNT picture, and what people thought would become of them. Sean Franklin, Zach Loyd, Jeff Larentowicz, Marvell Wynne, etc. played (and Teal Bunbury scored), but so did Gonzalez, Bedoya, Wondolowski. At the time I don't think anyone believed any of those 3 other than Gonzalez had a stable future with the national team. It does speak to our dearth of elite talent in some respects that the latter two were able to make it and to play in this World Cup, though credit to them for working hard, showing that example to the hopefuls and getting the chance. Point being though we need to develop and rely more on more talented players who also possess the same kind of work ethic to get to the next level.

I would hope our standard for national team consideration at least rises to "is under contract to play professional soccer". We're not Canada, where I joke with my Canadian friends that their most represented club is often Sans Club FC.

Nope. He will have a contract soon enough.

He's going to need more than just a contract. Klinsmann didn't call him up when he was with the Union or Bahia.

Hopefully he signs with Stabaek and Bob is able to help him resurrect his career but I think its a massive stretch that he'll be back with the National team in two months.

With JK's press statement regarding leaving the older players with their clubs and calling in young players to test them out, I for one am hoping to see something along the following as call ups.....
Keepers: Guzan, Johnson, Hamid, Cropper
Defense: F. Johnson, Brooks, Chandler, Yedlin, Ream, Lichaj, O'Neill, Klute, Packwood
Midfield: Bradley, Diskerud, Williams, Green, Gil, Powers, Gyau, Morales, Gatt Corona, Arriola, Gall
Strikers: Jozy, Johannsson, Boyd, Agudelo, Rubin

There has to be some vets around to provide guidance, and some of these players will have to recover from injuries, but IMO this is where JK needs to start the integration process with the youth.

I would say Shawn Parker AND Devante Parker. It's a group deal.

26 man roster

Gk: Cody Cropper, Guzan, Howard

Defense: Lichaj, Chandler, Fabian, Packwood, Ream, Brooks, Cameron, Spector

CM's: Klijestan, Zelalem, Morales, Bedoya, Mix, Shea, Williams, Holmes, Rubin

Attackers: Agudelo, Boyd, Altidore, Parker, Green, Gyau

I think Klinsmann looks to bring a more youthful team but at the same time makes sure to also include veteran players who aren't over the age of 30. Also I dont think he brings anyone from mls the mls season is going on and I think he doesnt want to disrupt players club schedules.

@chiilguy

I would kill to see that roster. My only dream scenario inclusion would be Toljan for Lichaj and maybe even try the new german american kid Shaun Kauter (too soon ?)

Hopefully Johannsson will be good by that time
