Hard to tell. Right now I think Yedlin, Mix, Wondo, and Aron are all ahead of Green when it comes to attacking substitutions. But you never know.

Also dont think its about who is ahead of who anymore. Its about who is best for the situation. I mean yedlin wasnt suppose to get minutes, we all though Brooks was 4th CB or Gonzo yet all have seen the field. Mix hasnt even seen the field yet and he was a fan favorite. Green is can just be something random.

Also How fit will Jozy be. Im no physical doctor but you cant lose your fitness that quick?

Howard
Johnson-Gonzalez-Besler-Beasley
Zusi-Jones-Bradley-Bedoya (if healthy)
Dempsey-Altidore

If Bedoya isn't able then I can see the same formation that we had against Nigeria (only with Zusi in for Bedoya).

If Altidore can play...he'll start. You don't "wait" at this stage. You go for it and worry about the rest later.

I know I will be going for Switzerland tomorrow.

If Switzerland wins usa and Belgium would be excited for a huge opportunity to possibly make the semis. But FIFA wants Argentina.

@USAGunner, I disagree about Jozy getting the start. Last thing we need is another injury and first half substitution-give Wondo the start and press high, get plenty of balls into the box and let him see what he can latch on to, bring Jozy on around the 60th to further frustrate tired Belgian defenders and open up space for the midfield.

100% agree with recycled... 1) u just cant afford to lose a player 10 mins into the match. 2) if we are winning we might not even need him 3) if kompany and vermalen are really out those defenders wont want to see a jozy itching to get in the game running at them. Also his fitness wont be 0 but it wont be 100% id say he has probably lost 20-30% of the fitness he had so id rather see him as a sub at this stage.

We have to take this risk. I don't know if I am comfortable with the chances of beating Belguim with Altidore (I would say is 50%).

The thing about Jozy is Jurgen and the doctors knows how his body is going and how fit he is. He is healthy but that doesnt mean he will play and the decision will prob be held till the last minute i can assure that

You guys are a lot braver than me... I'm not comfortable with our team when were missing Jozy. We got by the group stage by the skin of our teeth

If the doctors/JK think he can go 90' at close to full speed...Then he will get the start. If they aren't sure, then he'll come on as a sub if needed.

The other scenario is that Jozy starts and helps us to a 1-0 lead at halftime and then we bring him off for a more defensive minded sub in the second half and push Clint up top. I could see that happening but I don't like the defend after a goal mentality with a lot of clock left, it's what sent Mexico home.

If Altidore starts he isn't coming out unless he has to (injured or just too fatigued). He won't come out as a schematic sub. For one there really isn't anyone that will help our defense out more in attack than Jozy because of his hold up play.

I'd be surprised if he can go a full 90. If they don't think he can go a full 90 then they need to decide whether to start him and eventually sub him, save him for a second half sub or not use him at all.

If they start him, JK may sub him out for the likes of Bedoya or Zusi especially if we have the lead.
