I was hoping for Germany to lose so we don't get a bunch of German-American players holding out for Germany just like Guiseppi Rossi did after Italy won the 2006 World Cup.

Brasil's backline today reminded me of the Gooch/Brooks pairing vs. Ukraine

If memory serves, Rossi turned us down before the 2006 World Cup. He wanted to play for Italy, plain and simple. I saw it more in a positive light, that guys who are on the fence could see how good this German team is and realize how difficult it is to crack that team. Besides Klose and Lahm (who is 30), every important player for Germany is under the age of 30

The german beers are flowing in Brazil!!! Brazil has been bad all WC, Germany won 7-1 playing at 50%, they could of easily won 15-0 if they wanted to.

Brazil vs Argentina will be the final. How epic is that, it would rate as the biggest wc final Ever. The 2 best players ever Maradona and pele war will be awesome.

So close.

Yup no one saw this coming today. In the audio you cam hear loew say in the 33rd minute not to attack or score goals anymore. It was translated after the game. He feared the Brazilian fans would attack the Germans in the stadium. Good call by him. They eventually got 2 more goals and let Brazil score. It easily could of been 15-0 or maybe more.

Man, what the F**k was that?!!. Brazil hasn't looked like Brazil, but they were engaged defensively against Colombia. Germany has looked top class all WC, but from the whistle Brazil looked utterly disorganized and absolutely clueless, the body language was awful. Slow to the ball, tons of missed tackles. Superior teams can make the other team look poor, but Brazil checked out 5 minutes into the game...bizarre. I've never seen anything like that at this level in the WC. Germany looked like they were playing a scrimmage against road cones...unbelievable...my brackets are in flames... what a World Cup.

It was amateur defending which is surprising since the Brazilians strength was supposed to be their defense. They should have swapped Neuer with Cesar at half to make it a more fair game.

One of the pundits mentioned this, and it was exactly what I was thinking. Once Mueller scored that first goal, it was like Brazil had no idea what to do. It's as if they had prepared for this game, never having entertained the notion that Germany could score first. They were shellshocked. And from there it was a cakewalk for the Germans. Dante will be lucky to ever wear the yellow again. Same can be said for Fred, and to a lesser extent, Hulk.

It's a WC it doesn't matter. Germany absolutely wanted to beat the US bad. They wanted to humiliate us. That didn't happen. I think people need to take stock in the fact the US is clearly not as bad as what they want to believe in their minds.

If the US beats Germany in that last game Germany are playing Belgium in the round of 16 not Algeria. So I don't believe that Germany didn't put everything into winning that game.

I agree 100%, the coach and players all said they were going all out to beat us.

Well that was a boring half. Seems like a friendly instead of a semi final hopefully someone scores so the game can open up

Bound to have at least one boring game this WC. To bad it's happened in a Semifinal.

This has got to be the worst World Cup for photos of "hot chicks" in the stands...

They've all been hurt!
