Yeah, just like Toronto after they invested all that money...

Jermaine Defoe was a Bust like I predicted before the season. Bradley was ok. Funny he was the highest paid English man in MLS and was not even a top 5 Englishman in MLS, what a joke he was.

One interesting stat that shows the parity in mls. Seattle was the only team to win more than 50% of there games. Big leagues usually have 4-5. It shows that there are no easy games in MLS.

I would imagine the parity in salaries correlate to that.

He wasn't a joke when healthy and playing. It isn't his fault that he has been injured most of the season. Is Stu Holden a joke because he has been injured?

The man was tearing up MLS in the beginning
injuries set him and slowed him

I'm not saying every single player up there in age gets injured and always do good before they get get hurt but is a very High Risk plus a huge Gamble because not all of them play great when they come to MLS. If you go by that then why not pay BWP, and Dwyer the same salary ??? Do you know why because they don't have a high profile.name which sucks for what MLS does. If Defoe was a player making 60-100k a year then is not that big a deal but paying him Millions we all should expect more. At least Bradley lasted the whole Season and do know why because he ain't washed up yet...

Anyone that has followed Tottenham and Defoe extensively, would also know that he has a long history with accruing muscle injuries throughout a season. I am sure Toronto knew this, and they still went out and bought and paid him a lot of money.

I don't see Defoe being with Toronto in 2015.

Yeh, the man simply can't keep healthy anymore. The last 2 or 3 years at Tottenham he really really struggled to get on the field. That same trend is now occuring at Toronto. When healthy and on the pitch, Defoe would easily be in the top 2 or 3 strikers in the league. I just don't see him staying healthy in a league like the MLS, that demands soo much from the body. It is a shame because he really is a good player and can score some really beautiful goals!

I agree he has had difficulties staying healthy. I would not have paid him what Toronto did.
admsghs27's post about him being a joke is just hyperbole. Saying he is a bust is much more accurate.

Well this is ridiculous by MLS they Sanctioned La Galaxy fans for the first 4 games for throwing streamers During the MLS Cup that is a freaking joke and disgrace. So no Flags, Drums, Banners, Tifo's ect and of course streamers. They are just hating i seen at least half of MLS clubs do that and nothing happens to them. Either way i think is stupid because is part of the game as long as they don't throw dangerous objects that can injure someone then i'm OK with it but seriously light paper streamers come on MLS it has been going on for years and now you sanction Galaxy fans shame on them.

Not really only 4 games.'m not really involved in that pretty much anyways, but i'm sure it will soon follow other clubs in MLS for example clubs like Seattle, Portland, Toronto, KC etc.. On the plus side Stub hub center is going trough renovations which includes the biggest LED video board in MLS along with other festivities to enhance the game day experience.
