I guess I don't see where Cameron played terrible against Belgium. If I remember right his job was pretty much to shut down Fellani. I don't remember Fellani having a very good game so I would say Cameron did his job pretty well.

Dude they had like 30 shots, 15 of which Howard saved because they were on target. Fellaini is not an attacker really so if that's why we need Cameron then he shouldn't have been out there. His passing and control of the game were poor, and there was a noticeable drop from where beckermans performance had been. In fact that was the #1 coaching jag at the WC by Jurgen if you ask me, aside from not bringing Boyd as a backup for Jozy.

Ok so Belgium took 30 shots. That is one players fault? Fellaini is a beast in the air. Cameron was the best in that position to stop him. Beckerman had a fantastic World Cup. I don't think he would have given us a better result. Grant it it has been awhile but I though I remember more trouble coming from the flanks. I also don't remember a single players touch and passing being good in that game.

Cm are suppose to control possesion and tempo of the game, Cameron got absolutely man handled vs Belgium along with our other players. He should not be part of our team for the future along with players like beckerman, dempsey, zusi, Beasley, wondo. If they are there for 2018 expect a group stage exit.

Hmm, Belgium was the only game we were better in possession % and completed passes. Also, this was easily our best game with dangerous attacks created, 20 more than the Portugal game. But surely, Cameron had nothing to do with this.

How many shots on goal did usa had ?? How many dangerous scoring chances did they have where you got up your seat and cringed on how close we came to score, not many if I recall on the other hand I couldn't bare to watch the barrage of shots we endured if it wasn't for Tim Howard it would of easily been the biggest beat down of the world cup much much worse than Brazil.

No it's not all on him I never said that- saying Kyle Beckerman was/is better at CM than Cameron. And in the future, others will be as well. If Cameron is in a USMNT shirt for the gold cup at cm, I will cheer, but I don't have to agree with it- or understand how that moves us forward.

I'd prefer MB as the starter at the 6, but after MB Cameron would be our best option. I think it is very difficult to compare club performance versus Nats performance. Right now, he probably has a better chance to be successful at Dmid with his club, since he trains day in and day out with his teammates, developing more continuity than when he comes in for Nats camps. And you can't blame the Belgium domination on Cameron, that was a comprehensive team wide inability to slow them down. He was part of it but not the sole reason.

Cameron is a quality player, if JK makes up his mind and views him as a 6 it will enable him to focus on that role and hopefully develop continuity with the CBs and other mids. If he can elevate his mental game to the same level as MB and Beckerman, he could really shine...

Camerson's pass to EJ (I think it was the WCQ in Seattle) was a thing of beauty and get's me excited about seeing him more regularly in the midfield. It will be all the better if he plays DM fairly regularly for Stoke.

And how did panama do at the WC ? Cameron is a good player but i don't think he is one of our top 5 CM's.

Don't hate on Panama because of San Zusi!

Here's the video. What does our opposition have anything to do with Cameron's ability to drop a 30 yard zinger on a dime?

Didn't Bradley put an even better pass to altidore vs Honduras this past friendly ? Nothing new I seen even better from usa players. Ohh wait didn't Freddy adu had one of the best passes we seen at the gold cup for a game winner I know yall seen the video no need to post.

We put Cameron at CDM, we will be destroyed by the "new" Mexico in the gold cup, mark my words. It's all right we all have our likes and dislikes, but I'd rather go young and lose with a Trapp or a Kitchen, than put Geoff Cameron out at midfield again. Never agreed with admsmgs so much before, have I gotten food poisoning?

Who is better at the 6. Bradley is not a 6. Danny Williams? Will Trapp? I'm not saying he's a wonderful D-mid, but he's top 3 at LEAST.

Let's also note the "if we put Beasley/Beckerman at LB/DMid we will be destroyed by World Cup competition, Mark my words."
