So what is the genetic difference then between a Frenchman and an Englishman?

In the genes that govern fight or flight, the Frenchman is predisposed to throw their hands up and surrender when confronted.

Signed a 2 year extension with Stoke. His career there has been fascinating. Could totally see him being that swiss army knife well into his mid 30s.

That's the thing about swiss army knives....they provide options for the manager...and can extend their careers through their versatility. Even if Cameron doesn't remain in the starting XI...being able to come off the bench at 3 positions makes him a great option to have in the player pool for club or country.

Always suspected a personality clash between Cameron and Arena (and maybe teammates, not sure). Cameron's also one of the few (only?) vocal conservatives on the team and I've wondered if that factored into things in the increasingly toxic American politics.

That outspoken leadership was sorely missed, instead we had the zen of Bradley. There was not much worse than having Cameron on the bench watching the other games. That was just dumb.

It was a dumbass but typical decision by Arena to keep Cameron on the bench. Besler and Gonzo as a starting tandem is asking for calamity. And guess what it was a fucking calamity. We all know Gonzo is a bench CB for the Nats. In fact it was utterly stupid to not even call in Miazga who was the most in form CB at the time.

Arena said how there were a few bad eggs who he couldn't "reach." It's a shame no one ever "reached" Arena to turn him into a good coach and someone who has a little humility.

Cameron said what some of us said at the time and thought during arenas tenure: he was a dinosaur and a step back. It's time somebody said something instead of Tim Howard and his nothing to see here quotes.

I really don't know which guy would have given us the better chance between BA and JK looking back. They were both shitty in different ways. Sunil could have taken the 3rd path and hired a non shitty coach.

Yep Anyone with decent knowledge of American player knows Cameron> Gonzo
Were talking about a guy with years of Premier League games defending the best players in the world...

Arena was simply making sure that Miazga was well rested for his starting CB spot in the World Cup...
