I know there's a lot going on with Landon and the World Cup and all but a new sub plot is Cameron may be playing for a new team. Stoke just signed bardsley from Sunderland. He's the kind of attacking flanker that teams look for nowadays. Looks like Cameron will either be a cb, a backup, or on the move.

Shawcross has been linked to Man City in recent days. Stoke, of course, is downplaying the rumor.

Geoff not in the 18 for today's match. Man, I didn't think Bardsley would unseat him, at least right away.

Strangely, Odemwingie didn't make it in either.

I think it's more Cameron wants to play centrally and Stoke doesn't want that so he wants out rather than Bardslry beating him out easily.

Or Bardsley will stay at RB and Hughes will keep Cameron around as cover, and his playing time will drop significantly. Not a guarantee that he will see playing time, or get a transfer.

Bardsley starting while Cameron not in the 18 is pretty disapointing especially when Cameron had a much better season. Barsley is just a terrible sunderland player Cameron should move if stoke is going to do this

Not taking a shot at you, mate, but this is the mentality that needs to stop. I see this far too often on this site. As soon as one American player loses playing time (Cam), or isn't playing well (Jozy), or is playing on a piss-poor team (Jozy), a lot of us immediately say "he should move." Do people not realize that there isn't an American-release-clause written into contracts, where they can be free to find a new club if things aren't working out for them? That's part of the game. It happens all the time. Just because they're American and we want all of our guys to be getting consistent minutes for good teams in good leagues, doesn't mean they get a free pass when the going gets tough.

Cameron is taking a rest from the world cup. The manager hughes said that both him and Odemwinge are just getting the necessary rest after a tiring campaign. Cameron and Odemwinge will be back in a couple weeks.

Speaking for myself here i usually dont go out and say move right away. Jozy is a complete different situation and I think he should duke it out. The guy is 24 and i feel he just wasnt good enough last season and up to it. But you also have to say that Sunderland was an abismal team seeing them week in and out they were bad. Yet i think he can do it he has the talent.
Now Geoff earned his spot and safe to say he is an EPL starting right back. A good one that has conviced us at times that he could start RB for national team. Now i dont know what situation is. Maybe he is getting rest, maybe he wants to be a CB or maybe he might be sold even though stoke has said they dont want to sell him. He has suitors but ill admit im not informed on Cameron situation. My whole issue was Bardsley starting after that sunderland season and Cameron not even in the 18. If it was Coleman, Zabaleta etc etc then that would make more sense. Its an overreaction from me hope to see Cameron playing again

Yeah, that's why I was so shocked to see him not even in the 18 today. But if what chillguy said is true, that he and Odemwingie are getting rest after the WC, then this all makes sense.
