I don't think that the "fanboys" are butthurt.. It's plain and simple, 90-95% of the people including media and fans from Mexico recognize Landon is talented and deserves to be in th squad. That says a lot.. And people that say he was in bad form because he had not scored, must have not been following his games or have a bad judgment of the midfield game, because before today I think he had played uptop once.. His passing was really accurate and he tracked back.. His distribution is still top 2 in the pool with both feet.. He did what a midfielder was supposed to do, distribute with accuracy and hustle. Some stats were thrown out there about being the most chanc creator this season.. We all have different views for the game.. He won't call him back because his ego.. We all know Low called the shots.. It's been mentioned.. I'll still root for the USA, been doing it some the 98.. Ppl that are ok or content with Chandler, Davis, brooks, Wondo going over Donovan.. Well that's a no..

No one is saying they're content with Chandler or Brooks going over Donovan. Apples and oranges, brother.

What's the FIFA policy on roster changes after June 2? For example, if a player gets injured against Nigeria and is unable to go do we just take a 22 man roster or are we allowed to make a change for the injury?[/quote] Skangles

Hey skangles I am pretty sure replacement of seriously injured players is permitted until 24 hours before the team in question's first World Cup game. The replacement players do not have to be drawn from the preliminary 30 man squad. Although I don't think there ever has been replacements that weren't from the 30 man squad.

I find it so stupid that people defend the selection of brad davis over donovan

I find it stupid that when people called for other players to get called in (Sacha, yedlin, chandler, dwill) over the past two years they were mocked and told jk knows best and he's always right but now that it's Donovan left off he's an idiot. Either the jk detractors about previous roster selectios were right or there's a lot of hypocrites on this board

Do you really believe that Davis was the direct replacement of Donovan? Davis was chosen because he is a set piece specialist and we will be on our back foot vs at least 2 of our 3 group opponents. Set Pieces and counters will be the most likely way we score. I think we need Davis on the squad.
I also think we need Donovan he can still turn it on and has great vision and passing. I don't think Brooks or Green belong this cycle.

Donovan is also good on set pieces and he can actually help us in open play. I doubt it was an actual, Davis makes it over Donovan, decision, especially since JK saw him as a forward. I think the Davis thing is bull because of his limiting view of Donovan. I see him as a much more effectively midfielder than a forward. Even though he's plenty good enough for this roster in both categories, if it were up to me, but it isn't

starts with Jurgen and some of his statement being hypocritical to begin with.

Getting back to the topic of mls and tying into the us team. Not sure how many watch the revs given there sad stadium situation but they are playing exactly how you'd want a team to play. There offense consists of a true 4-3-3. They play a young undersized fagundez on one wing. Teal Bunbury who has always been cast as a target cf on the other wing and rookie Mullins on top. Mullins is really more an attacking winger but playing him in the middle allows the three of them to rotate and just keep attacking. There center mids consist of Nguyen (an attack minded cm), Rowe (when healthy) a cam, and Caldwell or dorman as a cdm. They don't use a target striker. Just 3 guys who are there most gifted offensively, experience be damned, and they just attack all the time. They are quickly becoming one of the best teams to watch even though they have zero stars (only guy playing in the World Cup is bengsten who's their reserve).

I love watching attacking teams. It's a shame I don't get much of a chance to watch MLS games. I'm in Thailand so the timing doesn't work out. I'm going to lose a LOT of sleep this world cup.
