The announcers just said that Klinsmann made the comment that if somebody gets injured Landon will be his first call. That's news to me. Did anybody see the quote from Juergen?

Yes. That quote was posted when Klinsmann talked to the media the next day. Watch the interview.

I haven't seen that and that would be great.. Hopefully he'd go to play.. Mls site has a congratulations video on it towards Landon with many players and x players speaking.. Klinsmann come out :/ pre recorded and I wonder if he already knew he was going to cut him.. Also Mastroeni looked like Obama and Henry was kind of funny.

I bet Klinsmann is sitting there saying god damnit to himself tonight. Still hasn't congratulated Lando on Twitter. He always seems to congratulate other players when something good happens in a game, e.g. Dempsey, Brooks etc...

I am not one to really acknowledge conspiracy theories about things, but it does seem a bit personal between Klinsmann and Donovan.

Klinsmann hates donovan plain and simple. Even if donovan was FIFA world player of the year he still wouldn't call him.

I think anyone would be delusional to think he wont step his game up when the world cup starts.

Yeh, everyone knows that but our idiot coach. Ok, so Donovan may have not shown as well in camp as some of the other guys BUT...

Like I said. Klinsmann made his bed. We will have to wait and see what kind of bed making happens.

My thoughts this whole time. We all joke he was fat but I know he would've went all out in training and conditioning leading up to the world cup

I think the pressure of goal 135 was weighing down on Landon. He came so close to getting #135 time and time again this season but couldn't convert. It reminded me a lot of Jozy during his slump in that he played fairly well but became a bit desperate in getting a goal.

If Landon ends up on the 23 the fact that the 135 milestone has been reached is a good thing.

What's the FIFA policy on roster changes after June 2? For example, if a player gets injured against Nigeria and is unable to go do we just take a 22 man roster or are we allowed to make a change for the injury?

Jurgen will not recall Landon into the 23 unless there is an injury. You all think him not picking Landon for the 23 last week was a disruption in the locker room?? Imagine if Jurgen then changes his mind and tells a guy like Brad Davis, who had been told he had earned a spot in Brazil, "Gotcha! You're actually cut and now you get to sit at home and watch while we bring back Landon because all the fanboys were butt-hurt." THAT would be a disruption for the locker room.

I don't think that the "fanboys" are butthurt.. It's plain and simple, 90-95% of the people including media and fans from Mexico recognize Landon is talented and deserves to be in th squad. That says a lot.. And people that say he was in bad form because he had not scored, must have not been following his games or have a bad judgment of the midfield game, because before today I think he had played uptop once.. His passing was really accurate and he tracked back.. His distribution is still top 2 in the pool with both feet.. He did what a midfielder was supposed to do, distribute with accuracy and hustle. Some stats were thrown out there about being the most chanc creator this season.. We all have different views for the game.. He won't call him back because his ego.. We all know Low called the shots.. It's been mentioned.. I'll still root for the USA, been doing it some the 98.. Ppl that are ok or content with Chandler, Davis, brooks, Wondo going over Donovan.. Well that's a no..

The thing that gets me is his clear favoritism of other players, and obvious disdain for Donovan. Dempsey didn't score for FOREVER, and same with Altidore, and other players: Jones, Zusi, Bedoya, etc. ALLLLLLL had their slumps, but he didn't snub them? Donovan had ONE cold streak NEAR the world cup and all of the sudden he's out. I don't care about his attitude, there have been worse attitude problems with our team and other, much more talented teams. I'm sure Eddie Johnson was a joy to coach, and I'm sure Chandler rumors of dedication aren't that far from true, albeit exaggerated. Point is, and I hate belaboring this because there is nothing to be done now but hope for injury (sorry, I DO wish that an injury would happen, sue me), Donovan should be there,in principle and in fact. Klinnsman WILL regret this decision if an injury doesn't happen, and if one does happen, and WHEN Donovan proves him self on the World stage again, he better admit it.
