COB went another full 90 in a 1-0 Nordsjaelland win over Aalborg on the road

In his first 5 games with FCN, the club has 4 wins and a draw. They are looking solid for the 2nd spot in the Superliga.

Every team that COB players for does well. That has been the story of his career.

I would become seriously erect if COB ever got called in. For realz. Him or Chris Pontius, which has been incredibly surprising to me that neither have gotten capped yet under Klinnsman.

Pontius is good, and consistent, but is he good enough for the NT?

I would be in favor of both COB and Pontius being included in the GC squad.

@navi8132, Beckerman doesn't need another chance, we need to bring in people at least 4-5 years younger, so that they'll be viable candidates for 2014 (probably as subs) and 2018 (possible starters). Beckerman would only be an option for 2014 and probably would be a late match sub.

The reason I'm so high on Mix, he could conceivably be a sub for 2014 and a starter for both 2018 and 2022.

He's not started for them of late, and as such they have struggled to get good results. Funny how that works. See the same thing with Roma/Bradley.

I would love to see him called in this summer. Personally, I've been vouching for the guy since he really came on the scene last year. Works hard, has skill, amazing vision. Can't tell me we can't use him, even if only as a sub. He'll beat out Edu in a heartbeat.

interesting that a lot of people here say they want to give him a look, but in most of the gold cup rosters i see that he is not in there plans. I think u got to atleast call this guy into camp. He sees the field as good as anyone out there. In the span of about 3 years he has gone from not getting drafted into the mls to the danish 3rd division, all the way now into a champions league spot. Everywhere he goes wins. I remeber seeing this kid at bucknell play against syracuse and seeing him just completely take over the game about 4 years back. Love to see as story like this succeed. Give him a shot!!

Aren't the Champipns League qualifiers in late July? That conflict will likely be the reason he's not on the Gold Cup squad but maybe they will bring him in for the group stage.

His team jumps in at the 3rd qualifying level. 1st leg is July 31st. Gold Cup final is July 28th. At a minimum he could do the group stage and get subbed out to gain some rest. Or Nord may prefer he stay in game shape up until the finals.

On a similar note Molde is in the 2nd round and has to play July 16/17 (same date as USA last group game) then would play the 23/24 (semis). Theres a good chance Gatt isnt involved in the gold cup at all. Mixx and Rosenberg also have July dates for Europa games

I think having O brien even just for the gold cup group games plus friendly against Guatamela would be a great opportunity for him. Especially if we can play him in the group game against Costa Rica. Anything more would be a bonus and I would appreciate Nord if we could use him up into the final.

Gatt I would really like to have him but if he cant no worries honestly I feel like he should be used in world cup qualifiers in September, October and could be used in the usual friendly in mid August which hasn't been scheduled yet.

Diskerud I really want him cap tied because whenever he has played for the National Team he has really impressed me. His assist against South Africa was a really intelligent play. His goal against Russia while deflected was still a well taken shot. He does need to get better defensively but give him time and I think he will be fine. I am just worried that his club convinces him he doesn't need to go to the gold cup and he switches to Norway for the next world cup qualifiers. While it isn't the most likely of things to happen it still does worry me especially since him and Klinsman have a rocky relationship.
