He's quietly making a nice case.. even more so when you look at the fact that Jose Torres is the most inconsistent player and COB is regularly playing well in a very similar role.
Torres plays no defense, COB does. COB is just playing better.

I'm all for it. Torres has had his turn. Let Connor try. He scored today btw, even though his side lost. Been that consistent for some time now.

i would like that. torres has had every opportunity, and to me he has to be slipping in standing by this point, especially given beckerman was great last game. between edu, bradley, jones, beckerman and a potentially healthy stu holden (god willing) it's still going to be tough for o'brien to crack klinsmann's top 5 or so cm's. I'd like to see him their in january though. zusi performed well against mexico too..

Yeah I would like ot see O'Brien called in. I have never been a fan of Torres, and Torres has had a string of bad games going back to Bob Bradley's tenure. Torres is a good player, but I just don't think he fits with the USMNT.
When you can't hold onto the ball against Mexico's players that he goes up against week in and week out then it's time to sit Torres.
Klinsmann had already stated prior to the Mexico game that Torres needed to have a good game, and he failed again. One has to think Klinsmann is looking at other players now.

I'm also for O'Brien getting the call up. I have not seen much of him, the little I have seen has been impressive.

Check out this tweet from Danish international Lasse Vibe who is Conor O'Brien's teammate at Sonderjyske

@BrianSciaretta Great goal from a fantastic player. You make sure to push the right buttons, so that Mister Klinsmann get to see this clip.

Well done Lasse.
Just so people know, he plays tomorrow vs. Nordsjaelland. 12:30 ET I believe.

Made the Danish Superliga team of the week.... again
He is one of the most under the radar American players in Europe.

It's only a matter of time before he gets the call-up. From what I hear a bigger team from Denmark is looking at him along with some Eredivise teams.

I know this guy is a midfielder, but what kind of midfielder is he? I dont watch any of his games, so I'm trying to get an idea about him.

He's a deep lying playmaker who is good defensively.
I don't want to say he's as good as Stu was in the EPL in 2010 but he plays the game in the same way.
He can get forward and be very dangerous in the middle but he is not a #10 nor a d-mid.
Make sense?

not the same position, but I would take him over Edu on the roster any day of the week.
