I haven't seen him play in donkey's years but congrats to him. I wish JK would have experimented more and given him a look, although he did try to call him up for Ukraine so maybe there's a chance.
That 1-0 loss in the world cup is the difference between moving on and going home. I'll take my chances with our other defenders, many of whom are equally versatile.

Tha was three years ago, the Tim Ream right now is a whole lot different player than the 2011 Tim Ream.

Yep. Some fans think that players never get better. Rem has definitely gotten better. There will be interest in him from a premier league team this summer.

I think Ream will be brought in for the 30...I'd love to see him get a real look at LB. Beas at LB in a WC is as scary as it gets. I'll believe it when i see it.

Lol. You're funny.
I will just echo the other sentiments that have been posted above me, and say that *SHOCK*....PLAYERS IMPROVE!! What?? Who knew??? I would love for you to tell me in all honesty that you trust Omar Gonzalez in a World Cup match over Tim Ream. I dare you.

I wish he was at the Ukraine camp. But the birth of your kid is way more important. But him in the 30 man is a good start. Especially because hes ridiculously versatile

This is totally irrelevant, and I apologize to any one if you feel I've wasted your time, but that move by Onyewu after Ayovi's goal, lol, that was pretty cool. If only he would exert some more of that technical skill on the ball in better control, consistently. that way we wouldn't be talking about ream or Gonzo etc right?

I would like to see Ream in the 30. @Chrisou101, all players make mistakes, it's about consistency. Who makes the correct decision more often and do they learn from their mistakes. What is worrisome about Omar is that he consistently loses focus for a portion of the game.

Chrisou101 agrees with you. It was logicoverall who disagreed.

Hey man, Im with you. Not necessarily because of that game, but because he's not better than the players we have.
Much respect to Tim for fighting his way onto the starting lineup and all, but this is a fans choice award. Players like Tim resonate with fans, especially on bad teams.
For everybody that thinks he's gotten better, I highly doubt you've watched consistently enough to make that statement. He's a versatile defender on a middling English Championship club thats hovered around the bottom echelon all season. His coaches just play him where he's needed, meaning he's not really a first choice player at those spots.

Ream def needs another chance its been too long and he has matured and improved his game in the championship one of our best if not best center back that can pass. Especially since we dont have lock for defense
