I am going to compile a what if 23 WC 2014 roster. Now this may make some of you mad or sad. Discuss how you think this team would fair in the USMNT's group of death this summer if some of these players would never have been injured or had made good on their potential:
Just think if Davies would have never got in that car. Where would he be as a player right now?
Imagine if Adu would have really caught on with Benfica?
If only Szetela wouldn't have gone crazy as a youth.
If only Holden didn't get crunched into by Jonny Evans. You imagine he would be with a better team in the EPL.
If only Dolo's knees could have held out for one more year.
How about if Cameron was playing as a CB instead of a RB for Stoke?
What if Gooch didn't get injured, would he be playing as a CB for AC Milan right now?
What do you guys think? Would you be much more relaxed about the USMNT's chances this summer if things would have gone differently for these players?

There's an old Yiddish phrase which roughly translates to: "If my grandmother had balls, she'd be my grandfather."
But granting your hypothetical, IF all those players had been healthy and successful then there probably would be dozens of stories about how amazing it is that US players never get injured. And Jurgen's yoga focus would've been all the rage. And the US still wouldn't have been favorites to progress from their group at the WC.

Can we add Rossi and Subotic to this? Or even just Subotic. Could you imagine a legit CB back there in front of Timmy?
If you don't love it, leave it, USA #1

I think you have to have Brooks in there for CB. Before his maturity issues and injuries he was looking lke a top bundesliga starter as a 20 year old

Pray tell what's dumb about it? IF you don't want to add something positive then don't comment simple as that.

Don't know if I would put Ibisevic and Movsisyan on here. Neither were US citizens, and neither wanted to spend the required time in the US to get US citizenship.

Movsisyan grew up in the US and holds citizenship.
Ibisevic did not have citizenship, but was 1 year from receiving it. Had we tried to get him around that time, he may have opted to stay in the country to get it. He stated that he would have played for the USMNT had we asked him to.

Movsisyan does not have citizenship. Regardless what Wiki says. He wanted to play for the US but did not have citizenship hence he decided to rep Armenia.
