The USMNT have no world class players. Howard is the only one close, you can argue for him though.

Oh c'mon, that's a bit harsh. I don't mean they're like cream of the crop in the world, just that there's a few that have proven they can play on the bigger stages. Howard and Bradley are the two that are definites, and cases can be made for Lando and Deuce.

Michael Bradley is a world class CM. If you disagree you're only other option is "just about world class"

There are those red, white and blue-tinted glasses again. MB is an exceptional player, but he couldn't find himself regularly starting in Roma's midfield this season. Now obviously there are situations where world class players are continually on the bench for whatever reason (Mata at Chelsea, Casillas at Madrid, etc), but MB is nowhere near those types of players in terms of being world class.

He is a fantastic player who probably could start for a large number of European clubs. But world class he is not. We do not currently have any world class players suiting up for the Stars and Stripes. We will soon, just not yet.

I think MB90 could very well be considered a World Class player. He can control a game on his own at times, he routinely showed that he should have been a starter for Roma, and his passing and tackling garnered some of the highest praise by Italian commentators and Press in his time in Italy with both Chievo and Roma.

Dempsey has World Class qualities about him.

Donovan definitely still has World Class Qualities about him.

Not many National teams can boast about the talent the USMNT has right now.

Except for Brazil, Spain, France, Netherlands, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, England, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Portugal, Belgium.

I could keep going if you'd like. And I will happily debate anyone on the inclusion of any of the countries I listed.

Also if your talking strictly talent of the players and nothing else, throw in Mexico, Russia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, South Korea, Japan to name a few off the top of my head

Having one or two "world class" qualities doesn't make a world class player. We have none, to say otherwise is having a some good red and blue tinted glasses.

Exactly. I think we have players in the U-23's all the way down that have the potential to be world class. But as of right now, our senior team possesses no world class talents.

Gotta agree with dunlopp, etc. MB and Howard (and Dempsey and Donovan in their day) could all have found places on decent European sides. But what trophies have any of them ever won? Have any even played in the Champions League? Are they (or were they) good, solid players? Sure. World class? No.

While I do agree that we have no world class players, trophies dont always define that.

Most teams in the WC do not have World class players. There are only a handful of them.

There are only a couple world class players on those teams. We both have different definitions of "World Class Players" If you go by those players than you could easily put, Dempsey, Landon, Howard, Bradley, Fabian, Jones, Jozy, Aron in that category.
All those names i listed can compete with world class type players. Unless you go with the elite top world class players which there aren't many like a Robben, Messi, Pirlo, Neymar, Di maria, Ronaldo, Lahm, Suarez, iniesta, vidal etc...
