I must admit that this doesn't show good judgment on him. He had to miss a game because of a tattoo

Very talented player but he needs to grow up. I know he's young, but this was an amateur mistake. This is the Bundesliga...

Has been poor in his USMNT appearances, while Goodson, Orozco, and Cameron have been adequate. With Gonzo, Goodson, Besler, Cameron, and Orozco, there is no need for Brooks to be in Brazil. 5 CBs (Parkhurst can be makeshift 6th CB).

He's still not cap-tied, correct? Does that give you pause at all? (I suppose he'd have to actually get minutes in a WC game to cap tie him which might be a long-shot at this point.)

Ridiculously poor judgement. He's already a borderline player there. Why cause any more problems with the coach? No judgements on tattoos. I'm pretty inked up myself, but geez dude, everyone knows you need a couple weeks to let them rest and heal, especially the big ones. Wait until the season is over. Just don't understand when guys do stupid crap to mess up the dream that only a tiny fraction of kids in the world get to actually realize.

X 10 to oldkeeper's comments. Shea had his instagram photos flap and Brooks this. It definitely shows these two young players are not mature enough to appreciate the opportunity they have been given to play professionally in two of the biggest leagues in the world. Let alone get a chance to play in a World Cup. Sad

That's to bad. Hopefully he matures over the summer. Talented kid, but many talented kids haven't kept their eye on the ball and fallen to the way side.

It gives me no pause whatsoever. We need to build our team with players who are committed professionals if we are to grow as a football playing nation. Hopefully he will learn from this mistake.

Brooks started and went the distance today. Luhukay really puzzles me, I cannot understand his logic whatsoever. Personally, I would have absolutely left Brooks out of the 18 today and possibly longer to send a message about his behavior. Good news for Brooks but I don't get it.

Well from what I saw on Twitter their starting CB went down with an injury in warm ups so Brooks wasn't scheduled to start.

Fair enough, I didn't catch that Lustenberger was injured.
